Disagree. Used to drive a 370z which has the worst blind spot ever lol.

... BLindspot is pretty bad.

All pillars are huge. Nothing compares to my first Prelude (1988), which had the best visibility next to a convertible lol.
God, I loved my 3rd gen prelude for that reason.

That and the pseudo oversteer you can get with the four wheel steering.

Well clearly the 370 would have "better" blind spots than the 350, it was the next evolution after all

Compare the FOV for your original pic to Ford/Fiat oem pic.
A little piece that has pretty similar curvature but just points in a different direction is fine by my book. The one in the original pic appears to be far more convex, like the most of these that are sold in stores. I tried them some time ago and found that they annoyed me more than not having them. I also tried wide/convex center rearview mirror that isn't too popular around here but tons of people swear by in other parts of the world and that annoyed me too. Could be just the way my eyes work.

When I sat in the BRZ, I didn't adjust the mirrors but being 5'6", my seat was positioned forward enough that I had no problems seeing over my left shoulder. A 6'2" person though wasn't able to see nearly as much as I could. Really depends on how far forward/backward your seat is. Was kinda bad trying to see over my right shoulder though.

Didn't everyone learn to lean your upper body out the window to check the blind spot???

I shared driving duties on a road trip in a friend's car, and I can't stand those split Ford mirrors. Every time I looked at them, I thought they were broken, and it freaked me out.

As said previously, any low slung 2dr coupe will have a pretty good blind spot vs the upright seating of something like a Mini or Impreza. I agree that it can be compensated for with proper mirror adjustment. My main problem with the 350/370z was how low the roofline was on the door windows. It hit about eye level for me, and was incredibly distracting. I'm hoping the BRZ/FRS doesn't have this same issue.

Anything's gotta be better than the CRZ. You can't even really see out of the back of the car!

Set your mirrors correctly and you shouldn't have to look more than what's directly beside you.

The blind spots aren't that bad, it also depend on your height as well, I sat in the BRZ and thought things were just fine(I'm 6'0). It's definitely not like a 370z don't expect to see anything out of that thing, loved it to death but you really can't see. If it's really a big concern, get blind spot mirror added to your side, or if you want buy a mirror system with sensors for your blind spots.

Sight in a car differ from individual to individual so go try it yourself first.

I have little to no overlap in my mirrors. So what I can see in the side view-mirrors is basically an extension of the edges of the image from my rear-view mirror. This means I don't see the side of my car from my side-view mirrors like how most people set up theirs. There is still a slight thin blind spot running along and near the lane lines with this setup, but I keep my eyes and ears out for bikes (motorcycles) so it's not a problem. Even with this setup I always look over my shoulder and signal before changing lanes.

Most close calls/accidents I've witnessed involve people either being distracted (cell phone/eating), being lazy (not signaling/not checking their blind spots), or a combination of those.

Unless your mirror setup is extremely horrendous, they should give you enough vision where looking slightly over your shoulder would suffice in safe lane changing.

I have my side mirrors pointing at their lanes, learned from driving convertibles (with the top up obvs.). So basically an entire lane is in view of the mirror. I make sure to shoulder check everytime, and I haven't had any problems.

What kills you are people moving over from two lanes over; having your mirrors set so you can see the lane to your left and a sliver of the far left lane is more helpful than trying to eliminate a blindspot that you'll have to shoulder check for anyway.
