Thanks for the writeup! The TOM's lip is my favorite one out there. Not too flashy but still a great upgrade for the 86 front bumper.

Your FR-S is super clean, subscribing for more updates!

Thanks! I believe there may be one or two cars in CA that have the front lip as well, both of which are white too.

But I'm willing to bet I'm the only one in the PacNW. For now.
I gotta get some side skirts and paint and mount all my parts.

I didn't start my journal right away, so I was kind of disappointed. lol. Thankfully I took pictures along the way, so I was able to throw it together. I've limited most images to 600px width and centered all my text. I think it's easier to read if the text is clear and the pictures aren't big and cluttered.

Your journal probably has the most views out of all the members though.

do eeeet! Loving what you are doing with your FRS! Keep up the work. Cannot wait to put all of my parts on the car when I get home.

Hey @indesign

I was wondering how much were those headlights you got from BRZPDX?
Also, did you use the HID kit you had before on the JDM headlights?

Love your build thread man. I just acquired my Scion FR-S about three weeks ago so I haven't gotten a chance to recover and make any mods whatsoever.

It was around a grand, it's a used set from Japan, so I'd imagine the price fluctuates. I was using a 5000K HID plug and play kit beforehand. I must admit the 5000K looked brighter than my JDM headlights (4300K), but the cutoff is much better now, and I can always just replace my bulbs with 5000K bulbs.

Thanks for the quick answer. So those JDM headlight assemblies already had the HIDs in them?

I think I'll probably invest in some HIDs for now and later get that whole headlight assembly. Would you happen to know what "voids" the warranty with Scion?

The headlights have the ballasts mounted onto them, and they come with bulbs (D4S size). Our stock FR-S headlights take H11 bulbs.

Im not sure what really voids the warranty, and I haven't hacked anything up. I've gotten the oil changed with my HID bulbs in and even with my new setup. Nobody said anything.

The JDM HID's ballasts are mounted at the bottom. Basically if you get a full assembly you just have to rewire the harness or buy deopressors's harness. I'm getting my JDM lights in soon and will hook it up with his harness. The only warranty you will void is anything that happens to the headlights aka they won't cover the jdm lights.
