The nuts are probably so that someone can't walk by your car and pop them off.
Anything expensive and easy to steal will get stolen eventually.

Negative. One of my studs broke off quite easily from barely tightening the nut. I believe these are there more to help with alignment vs security as it's really the tape holding my pieces on. Just make sure to wipe area down with some isopropyl before applying for added strength and be generous with the tape. The trims will STICK. I know because I had to reapply one from misalignment and it was a bitch to remove. If someone were to jack these with the amount of force they would have to use, nuts wouldn't do anything. But they better be sportin some Nike's.

I agree with above poster. Fitment is good but don't expect 100. Do I regret buying? No. These are quality pieces and they look fabolous. Best looking fender trim I've seen to date.

It's better to paint the fender in black in the back of the grid before putting it. Especially for the white coloured cars, otherwise the original paint can be seen, and so it shows that they are false...

Cut my fenders too

Nervously took a stab at cutting my fenders too. Added some color to the grilles to match my painted emblems.

Used a $26 3" cut-off tool from Harbor Freight (get a pack of 40-grit discs) and my rotary Dremel with a small cut-off disc. Taped all around the fenders twice to protect from any accidental slippage. Put on long sleeves, eye protection, and gloves if you're going to do this; sparks will be flying everywhere.

Also, I glued on some foam washers to the bolts that are on the emblems themselves. Figured this will keep the bolts from coming off, and they'll cushion the nuts when you tighten them. On the rear, I put down another foam washer, plus a steel fender washer on top, then the nut. The steel washer will spread out the tension all across the emblems when you tighten them down -- these things are never coming out now....

The vents definitely help the engine breathe, I can feel hot air coming out while the car is running.
