Question:

If you pull an old ROM that has no ECUFlash definition and save it as a 'stockROM.srf', can you flash it back on the car?

I see in this thread: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=58399

where:

It seemed to work for FRS-AZ.
That would be great news, but I didnt think that would work and I dont want to "experiment".

Which older Rom CAL id is it? It's trivial to put together a flashing XML for Ecuflash - let me know the CAL id, and I'll pop it up on Github.

The only difference between srf and bin is that srf deal with sparsely populated roms, as opposed to raw files. Only Ecuflash can read those now, unfortunately. I'm hoping Colby will implement the Ecuflash kernel code soon that replaces the OEM bootloader, will be much quicker and I suspect dispense with any of these flashing issues.

Thanks for the offer. I had ZA1J700c on until very recently.
The dealer updated me to ZA1JA00c about a week ago, but that is far as they would go with the older car.

The romraider definitions are well defined, in fact the OFT guys are using them now. DSchultz also just managed to get his hands on an ecu, which will speed up the integration of (ODB) logging into the Romraider logger. As to when Ecuflash will move out of beta, not sure - but it is all usable as we speak.

Are the expanded parameters defined yet.... Those needed to properly tune, like injector duty cycle, fkc and so on?

Some are (well the one's I've managed to pull out, and Ztan has also been adding to the list). FBKC and FLKC is, I posted the addresses somewhere on here (the RR thread, I think).

IDC is a derived parameter:

<conversion units="%" expr="(RPM*Fuel Injector Pulse Width)/1200" format="0.00" />

And both of those parameters are defined, so could be included in a logcfg.txt file.

The logging side definitely needs bolstering - I've just not had time, unfortunately, and without a BRZ to test on, sometimes a shot in the dark... Dale will definitely be able to fill the parameter set out once he has an ecu.

Can one of you guys test these addresses out for me, for A01C?

Code:
E_AF_Learning_1_A_StoredExt_E44 FFF815C4
E_AF_Learning_1_B_StoredExt_E45 FFF815CC
E_AF_Learning_1_C_StoredExt_E46 FFF815D4
E_AF_Learning_1_D_StoredExt_E47 FFF815DC

E_AF_Learning_Airflow_Range_CurrentExt_E61 FFF8A788
The stored AF learning are float values, and the current range is an 8 bit value.

Conversion for AF Learning is:

<conversion units="%" storagetype="float" expr="x*100" format="0.00" />

If you're talking about the OBD logger beta, in the thread where it was posted:

http://www.romraider.com/forum/viewt...it=OBD+logging

If you're talking about the editor, check out the official download link on the RR forum - it's always up to date.

paramname = AF_Learning_1_A
paramid = 0xFFF815C4
isfloat = 1

paramname = AF_Learning_1_B
paramid = 0xFFF815CC
isfloat = 1

;E_AF_Learning_1_C_StoredExt_E46 FFF815D4
paramname = AF_Learning_1_C
paramid = 0xFFF815D4
isfloat = 1

;E_AF_Learning_1_D_StoredExt_E47 FFF815DC
paramname = AF_Learning_1_D
paramid = 0xFFF815DC
isfloat = 1

;E_AF_Learning_Airflow_Range_CurrentExt_E61 FFF8A788
paramname = AF_Learning_Range_Current
paramid = 0xFFF8A788
databits = 8
Here's the result

Can you help me out with implementing the conversion?

if you want to see some real driving action I can log this afternoon.
