That looks really clean. Can you post some more closeups?

Grimmspeed relocation kit is cheaper than 1 ticket, $75 to not drill holes in my bumper is worth it.

I guess I could, but unless I took the plate off to show you the bracket, it wouldn't show much more. It's pretty simple- the bracket is fastened to the plastic grille mesh through the holes in the grille with the toggle bolts (nuts with spring loaded wings that open when you push them through the hole), and then the plate is screwed to the bracket. I can take it off any time and there will be no damage showing to the front of the grille, since the only contact is plastic to plastic. I think the bracket was 3 or 4 dollars, and the toggle bolts were around a buck. The bracket is completely hidden, and I've seen no issues with overheating.

If you're still not able to visualize this, let me know and I will remove the plate and take a couple of shots of the bracket for you.

Blocking air flow is not good.

Fingers crossed Ohio folks.

"Ohio bill would require 1 license plate, not 2"

That's coz Texas just passed the FINE law for no front plates in Sept. 2013.
Before that , no front plate was a good reason for L.E. to pull you over for a hassle anyways.
Texas L.E. never liked cars with no front plates even when it was legal once upon a time.

I don't plan on it... I asked them to not put the mount on when I bought the car but they said they had to.

My Plates came in today. So I installed the rear plate and removed the front bracket.

What sucks is when they drilled the holes it looks like part of the bumper was pulled out with the drill bit, so the hole is not smooth. And on top of that there is a little indention/scratch about an inch in from each hole.

Anyone have any ideas on how to fix the holes from the mounting bracket?

Never! I was born a rebel! I bought this car 90% because of the aesthetics, come on.

I have put my plate on like this too. I think it looks pretty good. On my Acura RL, I never got pulled over for no front plate. On my prelude, I got pulled over the first week for not having a front plate. My dad doesn't have one on his S600 and he never gets hassled either. The cops profile tuner cars.

I had an STi back when I lived in Connecticut. Never ran a front plate, kept it in the backseat. Never had a problem.

Now I live in Florida, so I don't need one anymore.

From NY, after I hit a deer I asked for my shop not to drill the front bumper and use the grimspeed plate mount...they didnt put it on...and its too cold for me to put it on. Been 2 weeks and no tickets might just leave it off till they tell me to put it on. the plate and the plate mount are sitting on the passenger floor in the box. They 'usually let you off with a fix it ticket' but not the rule of thumb and cops can be...aggressive with people who own sports cars.
