New to the car game so sorry if these questions i ask are kinda dumb. I wanted to get a set of xxr 527's but just wondering the difference between the 18x9.75+20 offset compared to the 18x8.25+35 set up. I'm looking to drop the car on lowering springs for now. I understand the 18x9.75+20 set up will require stretching the tires but this is sort of what i am looking for. Just wanna know the pros and cons i guess.

The 35 offset will be about flushish (sticking out around 5mm in the front), the 20 offset will stick out about 15-20mm. Not sure if the +20 will rub (Probably not if you use 225 tires) , but the +35 will work fine (however I'd recommend 245/35/18 tires for that setup, unless you want the streched look)

Went to the Tire Kingdom that has been doing wheels, tires, and lifts on my last few trucks. They kind of disappointed me yesterday. First they said they can only get 1 tire in that size which is the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3, which is not a big deal but living in a place that doesn't get below 35*F/2*C all year I was really hoping for a Summer tire. Then they told me their vendor can only get me that wheel in Chronium Black, and after seeing Killerbees experience I refuse to get them. So out of loyalty to the shop im giving him a few days to see if he can get me Flat black before I just save myself $200 by ordering them myself.
Either way, I should have everything on the way within the next week. 18x8.75 +35 527's and 245/35 Pilot Sport A/S 3's. |

It's part of the DupliColor colormatch line, it's called charcoal grey metallic.
I looked through the auto paint section and compared with a picture on my phone and came up with that one. There might be better matches out there. |
