![]() Let's see you want to use the FR-S for a daily driver ..... but only if it has 150 more HP .. ?? My first thought is that maybe you should look at a different car. Yes, I understand that the FR-S engine can produce 150 more HP, with the assist of a turbocharger. I suppose, with a good tuner, you could use a turbo-ed FR-S with 350 HP for a DD ..... but why? You may wish to check in with your local sub-forum group to find a good tuner in your area and discuss the possibilities. Good luck! humfrz |

Thanks for the warm welcome humfrz! I'm used to driving an older car with ~300hp. When I test drove the FR-S's they just seemed a little underpowered for my taste. I think 350 would be the upper limit, but I didn't want to bother modding and buying unless I could really feel a difference. Thanks again!

![]() I got stuck driving a large truck, back in the day, in the wintertime, between Winnipeg and San Jose, CA. That is a long story and was a long 10 days .... ![]() I see you picked out a perty car ..... the white ones are a good color on this car. Enjoy your new machine! Stay tuned for many mod ideas ...... you might want to do some research on that short shifter idea. humfrz |

I've posted in the forums before but haven't actually introduced myself.
Hello all! Bought my 2014 FR-S (asphalt) about a month ago. 25 miles on it when I picked it up. It's currently sitting in my parent's garage back in Texas and have a set of wheels/tires/springs sitting patiently in my room waiting to be used. I'm currently in Japan and drive a 180sx. |

new&need help
New on the site. names tom. drive a 2014 fr-s. all stock. bought it in october so i figured id wait till the winter was over and jus stack some bread. for those of you who live in places where it snows you know the frs is not a good car to be getting around in during the winter. My girl was coming to stay the night so i could use her jeep to get to work and the women side swipes my car. so what i need help with is my mirror situation. toyota wants to charge me 500$ to fix it. all in all they can go fuck themselves. i can get aftermarket parts and put them on myself for less. the only thing is, i can only find carbon fiber "covers" and them racing style apr formula 3 mirrors which i don't think i would like. everything electrical in the mirrors are fine. the mirror cracked in half but it functions fine. the problem is the front(and bottom) and back(and top) caps cracked in half. anyone know if i could just get the factory ones from somewhere? or an aftermarket alternative?

Hey Guys,
Thinking about buying an 86 as I have heard nothing but good things. Currently have a 09 WRX so if I do end up buying an 86 it won't be long before I start wanting a bit more power. Looks like you guys have some pretty indepth information on here so I look forward to doing some research. |
