*sigh* Ugh, I hate to even say this 'cause it just sounds so lame and "little kid in the big city"-esque... but what exactly do you mean by this? Are you expecting trouble from police, troublemakers, etc? I only ask because I normally steer clear of the big city. I grew up in a small town and continue to live in a small town, and in all honesty am quite scared of getting robbed every time I go into the city. That may sound paranoid but I personally know several people who have been robbed while in Sac and one friend of mine even witnessed somebody get shot over a pointless road rage incident (guy A got cut off, flipped the bird to the guy B who cut him off, guy B promptly stops and gets out of his car to shoot guy A, before making eye contact with my friend and then driving off... no idea how my friend lived through that one). Heck, my brother-in-law just went to a gas station off 80 on Norwood Ave over the weekend and while he was there the gas station got robbed and he heard like 6 gunshots, then saw the guys run out of the station brandishing their guns. He GTFO'd extra quick-like and says he heard a couple more shots as he was driving away.

Needless to say, I'm pretty scared of the city... whether for paranoid reasons or not. So despite my desire to hang out with all you guys, I'm not too sure how willing I am to take that risk.

Hes wanting to avoid trouble with cops. Basically saying no burnouts, revving your engine, splaying, or playing hella loud music.

In re: your concerns Elk Grove is not Sac. Sac itself has bad areas and good areas, but Elk Grove is a petty safe place overall. I can understand your fears as I may be a bit desensitized living in Stockton, but I hope you can make it out sometime.

Um...no hopefully we don't have any trouble I do trust that everyone who does show up to be mature about everything. I really just wrote that part just because I was thinking of things to write lol. But it sums up every rule that every meet generally has, but you do get those kind of people who thinks they are speed racer sometimes which is sad... Generally it will lead to a meet failing since it will attract others just like them.

I wouldn't be afraid coming out though. I'm sure everyone will welcome you with open arms. The location where we are isn't bad at all. I've been to several meets in the same parking lot for the last 5 years now? And there hasn't been any trouble. This is my reason for picking this spot. If I do decide to move the location I will always look for the best and safest spot possible. I want everyone to have a good time and be able to keep attending these meets, so I hope you can make it out to. If I misunderstood you or explained anything wrong let me know. I want you to enjoy the meet so any questions just let me know.

Basically what finch said. This is to meet and hang out with other people, talk about cars or whatever, not showoff or cause trouble for other people/drivers in the area. All cities have trouble areas but the area of the meet is pretty tame. 80 and Norwood is a shitty area also so I'm not terribly surprised about the robbery. I'm pretty cautious/paranoid about that type of stuff as well, to be honest, but the place we are meeting at is a pretty good area from what I know. Come out and hang with us, at least say hi. If you don't feel safe then I don't think anyone will blame you for wanting to leave.

Been to a few meet at this location and never had any issue. Also Elk grove is a pretty safe area.
