If you are looking for PERFECT fitment and exactly like OEM, look away. To me its good enough. There is a bit more space in the drivers side than on the passenger's but it closes down tight as in not moving anywhere.

honestly I'm looking for nice vents. I'm sick of the chicken wire shit on aftermarket. i like how OEM vented hoods have that beefy black grill like on GT500's, but i have yet to find that level of quality. so i may end up with a WRX hood scoop style to eliminate that

That is really nice. Different then leaving it carbon. I like, high five *borat voice*

I think I would have left the vent areas carbon. Not sure that I would install the chicken wire either.

I was going to leave the vents CF, but since everyone else is doing so and I have no other CF accent (and probably wont ever), then I decided to paint it completely. It looses a lot of the vent detail, but for me the less it shows the better.

So instead of chicken wire shit what would you use?

Nothing. I don't think with that design that the chicken wire will really be stopping anything from entering your engine bay anyways. If you wanted a challenge, I would try and fiberglass in some drainage so when it gets rained on the water has a channel to an area where it won't get all over your engine.

honestly not worth building a shroud, there's no good way to do it. The angle of the hood prevents any good drain routing.

what I did when I was parking outside, take a towel or something more heat resistant and drape it over the turbo. The vent location is like just over the alternator on the passenger side and a/c comp on driver side.

You could try screen porch fabric in black, wouldn't be too noticable

I'd rather have a reverse cowl with ducting to draw air through the radiator and out over the hood.
