Fitzgerald Subaru (of Rockville, MD not Gaithersburg, MD) sent me an email stating their allocation was 10. Not sure if this is 10 for their whole dealership group or for that location, but I would bet it's their whole allocation.

"Subaru plans a longer life-cycle for the car, six to seven years instead of four to five, and it was strongly hinted that we would see a power bump during a mid-cycle refresh – but not a turbocharged bump" -autoblog. Dec 5th 2011

"It is important dealers fully understand the order filling process as you submit your sold orders. In summary, allocations for the 7 months May-November have been developed for each dealer. Fulfillment of a dealer’s allocation quantity will be spread basically pro-rata over the 7-month period and will not accelerate based on the number of sold orders submitted nor will it be reduced based on the number of sold orders other dealers submit. The most important factor is for individual dealers to ensure their sold orders are submitted in the order with which they want them filled. SOA will look to fill the oldest sold order within a dealer’s allocation from the pool of cars available irrespective of when that order came in versus any other dealer’s order." -Subaru of America

The allocation numbers will never be perfect on here but at least it gives a rough estimate.

I've been in contact with a friend who works at the local dealership here in Honolulu, HI. And from what he told me they are NOT accepting pre-orders like you guys on the mainland are. I'm pretty sure I'm the only Hawaii person cursing these forums, but if anyone has additional info about us on the rock in the middle of nowhere it'd be appreciated. Otherwise from what I've been told, they'll be sold on a first-come first-serve basis.

I'll see if I can get some numbers from him, but from what it sounds like, he doesn't know...

Question about the features on the OP: The Premium doesn't have LED daytime running lights? I thought the headlights were the same on both trims?

Yes both the Premium and Limited have the LED running lights. The fog lights are optional on the premium and standard on the limited. Everything is right here in this brochure, I don't get why there's so much confusion... the stuff in the right column is what the limited adds over premium. Those are the only differences.

Wow, hopefully it won't be that difficult to get a test drive soon after they arrive at the dealers.
