very nice i am still curious about the untuned version of it - whether or not people do it is not relevant - simply curious what it would look like haha

Nameless Performance Equal Length Stepped Header
Quote:
I may be mistaken, but it seems there is a lot of data showing that just bolt ons (I/h/e) can deliver pretty decent power. There also seems to be a lot of data that a tune further increases output. Lastly, there is good data that running E85 + header + ecu seems to be the best option for increasing output on a NA engine. |

Just 1 and 3 please. Run the car on the dyno, bolt header on, run the car on the dyno again. Leave the tuning out of the equation. I wasn't under the impression Nameless was in the tune selling business, so I don't really care about their tuned results.

Honestly, if it makes power when tuned, that power was only accessible because of the header. but yes, a header that is well designed for the engine will pick up power just from being bolted on. |

A stock car makes power when tuned, that power was only accessible because of the OEM header.

Because I am not doubting that a tune can make power on a stock car or a car with a Nameless header, but I want to know what gains the header by itself makes.

Some people don't give really care what the thing makes just from being bolted on because getting this means they're going to tune for the extra power... The default position for bolt on parts is to show the gains without a tune, i'm sure they'll do this... |

There are parts that are designed strictly for tuned results, and without the tuning they fall flat. This isn't only the case with exhaust, the same goes with suspension and handling bits as well. I'm not defending Nameless, remember, I'm a "H8r" according to someone, but I do agree the wait of 6 weeks for dynos is just... meh. I guess in another 4 weeks we will start to see actual real world dynos as these start hitting the first round of customers. Edit: Wow, all of the thread tags were cleared from the thread. No new information is posted, but they have the time for that.
