We did this quite often in the old DSM days.

It's pretty easy actually if you have the know how for mechanics.

Basically just take the hot side IC piping off the compressor housing. Go to your local auto parts store and buy an engine block freeze plug, or metal cap that is the size of the IC piping. Also buy a rubber tire valve stem. Drill a hole in the cap in the center the size of the valve stem, clean the burrs, and pull the valve stem through it so that it sticks out away from the side you're going to connect/clamp into the IC piping.

Then just pressure the system like filling a tire, but make sure you have a gauge of some sort either on the air valve or showing from the car so you dont go above like 20 psi.

Then check for audible leaks, use soap for pinholes, re-clamp anything loose, etc. Common issues, PCV leaks, loose IC piping, vacuum line cracks or pops off, ziptie stuff, you get the idea.

Oh and throttle body seals, those are pesky too sometimes.

I've welded up various sized plugs. Some have small barbs and some have tire full valves. I can pressurize the system through the valve and then I plug in a boost gauge on the barn to see what pressure it is at. The just soapy water to and look for bubbles.

It's a MUST before going to the dyno, don't want to burn time finding a leak
