Thanks, Luis.

I knew we could get that but isn't that expensive? I figured it was more than Ashley would want, at least for now, and the same for me. But, yeah, that's cool, and it's good for everyone to know it's available.

A few basic hand tools will serve you well. But that's another subject for another time.

@LadyFRZ that's intense. Man I would love to see that episode.
O my god did you see that episode (I think it might be kitchen nightmares) with that woman Amy? I believe that's her name. She was completely crazy and starting cursing at customers and at people via social media Hahah reddit had a ball making fun of her. I can't believe they would even take the tips for themselves. That's was a really great episode. I should watch TV more often lol.
And always remember college comes first above all
I slaved away a year prior to going back to school so that's a big reason why I have enough for it
sad, that it took me until I was working 2 jobs to realize I should go back to school. I'm glad it clicked when it did tho, I can't imagine working two jobs for the rest of my life.
Thankfully I got youth on my side so I'm very excited to go out and find myself a new part time since fye closed.

When i watched the episode,I was crying i was laughing so hard. They were also in huge legal drama outside the episode too, like they were banned from several different countries, they had identity fraud, I mean it was like WUT.

Hey, you do have a leg up on most people though. Waiting a bit then diving into college is a huge thing, means you have more time to think about what you want to study, what to do with your life. Plus, you have experience on your side upon graduation. Most people in my graduating class don't volunteer, nada.
Good on you, like I believe it was @Porsche who said it, you are definitely wiser beyond your years.

Holy crap, I didn't know that. Can't say I'm surprised tho.
Ahh you give me too much credit. I was just a slacker, who was lost and had a lot of time to figure out what I wanted out of life since I never imagined a future for myself. I always figured I'd be dead by 18, 21 the latest.
And as cool as it would have been to have had college paid for, without a doubt if I did I would have dropped out. Or graduated with a degree I wasn't interested in lol.
I guess as cliché as it sounds everything happens for a reason

You know, I think it's actually BETTER this way. Asking an 18-year-old to chart the path of the rest of her life is not the best idea. Now, I know they won't actually choose their major for two years, but still there are all those foundation courses.

What I'm saying here, Ashley, is that you actually have an advantage over your peers; you are much better positioned to make a mature, sound decision. I think it might be better were all young people to do it as you have.

Yes, you do.

My wife, who teaches adults in a technical college, notes that many of her students think that they have an INFINITE amount of time left to them. That's common amongst them. In reality, more often than not, that's not the way Life works out. People get "trapped," and they often don't realize it until it's a real problem. The young don't understand how fleeting youth is. They tend to squander it, mistakenly thinking it will last forever.

You have a good plan, Ashley. "Stick to your plan and pursue your goals," is what my wife always says to her students. They love her, and would follow her to hell and back. "We believe in Mrs. Porsche, because she believes in us." And, "We love Mrs. Porsche because she is Real, and she KEEPS it Real!"

Mrs. Porsche is a serious and demanding, no-nonsense, no-excuses teacher/leader, and works them unlike they've ever done before. There is true dignity in real effort. Effort gets results.

Speaking of which, did you ever read my PM to you about that plan of yours? Last time I checked, you hadn't opened it.

I'm 24, and I still don't know what to do... I'm now doing a masters in construction engineer... which means I'll still be out of a job once I graduate...

It's rough. I know, Luis, I know. I've followed your story for a while now, and I'm sorry to see that PR seems to reflect the same problems as in the US. I confess I was startled to see that a civil engineer (I think?) would find it difficult to secure good solid employment in your field. That does not bode well for the future in your country, or ours, for that matter.

I told my wife about your difficulties many months ago, and she, too, was surprised. (You're the topic of discussion in our home! Along with Ashley, of course...)

You young people are facing difficult times. I sure hope things improve, but I don't know...
