One of my piles died had it towed so, why not fire up the FRS. It has snow tires. Has not been started for three months.

Well it fires right up. And then starts pouring smoke out of the engine bay, oil burning off exhaust. Shut it down and oil is pooled all over on the skid plate.

So now this pile will get towed too. Sick of cars, total junk.

Did the plugs you installed for the Perrin oil cooler leak?

Oil is on passenger side only. Plugs are dry on cooler line.
Will have it in the air tomorrow, and see what is happening.

Don't really care enough to jack it up in garage to **** with removing skid plate in 25 degree weather.

Then my top guess would be the manual transmission cover plate on the back of the motor. It can definitely leak on the overpipe and smoke, but I don't think anyone's has leaked badly enough to coat the skid plate like that. My other guess would be your Radium catch can. Perhaps it was full and had enough condensation in it that it froze and cracked then releasing the contents in that general area once it thawed out. I hear you on not wanting to work on the car in the cold.

Thats what turbowski said, was the catch cans. I can't believe it but then again what do I know.

The plate is the most obvious but christ that much oil from sitting?

How and why would a cam plate get messed up like that and start leaking?

OEM design flaw. Flat plate with RTV gasket not a great design.
