Yeah, my bad, I just noticed you were referring to the premium.

No worries, I was trying to strictly base everything on USDM models. The center stack below the Nav unit & hazard switch/clock bar goes like this:

Premium = manual HVAC with the 2 big knobs and one smaller one, bigger cubby space, USB+Aux input jacks.

Limited = dual zone auto HVAC with 3 small silver knobs, row of toggle switches, start button, smaller cubby space, and USB+Aux input jacks.

Also, both trims get the 8-speaker audio.

All FR-S and all BRZ have 8 speakers. 6 speakers is what's stated for Japan (higher specs) although I suspect they are counting the 2 dash speakers on each side as 1 speaker as the 8 speakers are clearly shown on the JDM models as well. JDM low specs get 2 speakers (just the drivers in the doors).

As already noted, all of this info for the USDM models is easily available on subaru's website.

Yeah here is what is says:

BRZ Limited comes with a keyless entry system that also starts the engine remotely and provides an answer-back electronic chirp. The antitheft security system also includes an engine immobilizer.

Not sure if that is reliable though

That's the web developers test site where they simply copied and pasted miscellaneous features from other Subaru's [like the Tribeca] as placeholders until real information was added. It's not official information. It's like trusting rumor as fact.

Even if everything is copied that part did specifically say for BRZ Limited. I see no reason to remove it until we find out more info. They also didn't say anything about Auto Dim Mirrors but it's an option. If you can get remote start on an Impreza I'm sure they will have it for BRZ

Ryephile, Zaku posted a pic about 2 weeks ago that showed the Premium center stack knob configuration you describe. Is your description based on his posted pic, or do you have other information? Really trying to nail this down, because the silver knob HVAC controls look MUCH nicer.

I don't agree with that reasoning. It would be better if we didn't mislead people by posting it, as it's only been on the test site, and in none of the press releases at any time in the past couple years. We've seen the official accessory listing HERE, and remote start is not on there.

I'm only going off USDM photos from auto shows/dealership visits. There have been very few BRZ Premium interior shots, but if it was at a USA auto show sitting on the floor you can bet the black knobs are production. I'm not aware of the exact source of the silver manual HVAC knob picture.

I like this thread.

Now all new members have NO EXCUSE to make a thread asking about info that's already been seen many many times.

yeah, that's pretty much what I was going for. Gathering all known available information on the BRZ in one easy to read place. Hopefully Dealerships will have their employees read up too

Under the features heading you have several items listed as optional tha aren't really optional. Optional usually means that the feature can be added to a particular trim level. For example, auto climate is not optional as it cannot be had on a premium model. It is only available on the limited trim where it happens to be standard. Rather than putting (optional) you should just say (limited model). The only choices the consumer has is premium or limited and the only "option" on the car is the auto trans.

Likewise, the homelink compass and subwoofer are not optional. They would be dealer installed accessories. Options are put on the car at the factory, accessories are not.

Not hating on what you are doing, but I think this will help avoid confusion for all the noobs who aren't as familiar with the car. Maybe it will even prevent some new threads asking questions that have already been answered.

I was also unsure about adding them as Optional lol

I made the change since it shows on this website under Specs
subaru.com

They say those options are "Available" wasn't sure if that meant optional

I'll add Accessories
