there's a lot more to it than that, but yes those are the common use cases. i use them to make even mundane things like correcting di fueling error easier and more straightforward as well.

i agree that a lot of the stuff can probably be done with the standalones, but being able to implement new things on your own is something i'm not sure they support. i could totally be wrong on that, it's just not immediately apparent from using the hydra years ago on miatas. i wasn't actually tuning the thing at the time either, just using it as an end user.

what impresses me about custom maps isn't the ability to solve a known problem. it's the ability to solve nearly any problem, if that makes sense. if they provide that, then that's awesome.

That makes sense then. The stock cluch is definitely no match for an FBM kit.
