I'm interested myself. :-)

I've only had the RX-8 for a few months and since we are still frozen up here it will be a bit longer until I know. The car I drove at Nationals is local though so it should be pretty easy to check. I agree that it should be much better on 17's, and I think on paper it has many advantages over the Twins.

no, they have no adjustment, but they are considered to be very good for OEM applications.

also Monotube Gas vs Twin Tube Oil... technically speaking they handle bumps differnetly... the question is though does it matter.

also the bilsteins mean you don't have to drill and cut stuff if you've no access to that sort of thing.

we were interested in trying to use this, but due to the design of the shock it would not be possible according to our sources.

What wheels are you guys running!?

I want enkei rpf1's and I want to go up 1" in wheel size but I can't find 18X7. I could only find 18X7.5

Could I fit 215/45/18 on 18X7.5 and still run in c-street?

They aren't made in a 18x7.

If you are looking for a simple blunt answer, no. any diameter wheel with a 7.5" width is illegal for street class, you would immediately be bumped to ST.

Any particular reason you are dead set on a 18" wheel?

My 17x7 RPF1s with ZIIs will be arriving this week.

Very few legal options in 18x7, trust me, I looked. Just 1-2 sets of crappy cheap, heaviesh wheels. Except for the very rare RE30 Ecodrive Rays from 2009 in Japan. Extremely rare

the reason why I want to run 18's is because I want to close my wheel gap up a bit and since I'm not lowering the car this season I'd figured I'd go up 1 inch and since the street class allows to go up one inch I figured that would be a good bet.Looks like I'm going to run 17's........ :/

Gotcha... so if your plan is to eventually lower the car, which will move you out of C-Street anyway, why not get the wheels you actually want now so you don't re-buy wheels later? That would open your options up to other rim widths up to 9" wide. at a local level, you probably won't see a massive competition difference between C-street and STX, STX will likely be a bigger class anyway.

Thats definitely the more logical thing to do but this is my first year in auto x and I'm doing things like evo school phase one and just trying to get a lot seat time.I don't want to change the car to much right now because it's a daily that I'm happy with and I'm in the middle of a lager build right now.I do want to modify my brz more but for once I'm keeping it simple.Once my driver skill gets better I will do what I want to the car.

plus I want to run in a class I could be some what competitive in.

Still a bit disappointed with the pace, as I'm getting stomped in X class (in which I have won the championship for the last 2 years).

The course was big power. I was rev limiting at the end of each fast section. Please feel free to critique anything you see. The biggest issue mentioned so far is that I could have went a little wider in the last sweeper and entered the final slalom faster. I was rev limiting for a good bit through the finish.
For that big right hander at about the 27-29 second mark in the video (video time, not in car camera time) could you have adjusted your entry a bit to give you a better exit? It seemed like you were turning the car most of the way to the gate that followed. I'm thinking if you could have adjusted the entry you would have be straighter (and thus faster) out and into the next gate.

Thanks for the advice. It was a pin turn, so I kept getting sucked in and turning a bit early.
