Enkei RPF1 Lug Nuts?

My friend recently had his Enkei RPF1s mounted to his car, and the shop told him our stock lug nuts won't work with the RPF1s. What lug nuts have people used with their RPF1s? I'm worried about purchasing a lighter set of lug nuts since they cross thread easily, and I'm constantly changing my wheels/tires. Thanks!

Ive been using the standard $50 set of gorilla lugs on my mazdaspeed3 for 2 years...wheel changes 2-3 times a month with no problems.

Ive heard a lot of people on here using the muteki.

I'm using stock lugs, it should be fine. Unless he "needs" to change them out :p

That is not true man, I'm fairly sure the stock lugs do not seat correctly with "tuner" wheels. You need tuner style lugs with tuner wheels due to the difference in seat design.

EDIT: as others in the thread have pointed out the factory lugs are the correct taper and seat type and could be used. Guess i was remembering my mitsu days with the flat face lugs.... I think i had to run tuner lugs on the fr-s with the SSR's i got because the stock lugs and socket would not fit.

Subaru factory lugs are CONICAL seat. 60 degree taper like aftermarket. Much smaller seat than an aftermarket lug though.

You can go for a set of standard Muteki's or upgrade to a sr35's or sr48's.

The stock lugs are kinda short too if the wheels have deeper holes

Both the factory wheels and RPF1's are conical (tapered) seat, the stock lugs work 100% fine on RPF1's. Source, other threads and personal experience. The factory locking lug key is a tight squeeze in the RPF1's, but it works fine.

Stock BRZ/FR-S lugs will work. Don't attempt to use stock lugs from other cars though.

We got one of the toughest and most durable lug nuts than probably most lug nuts on the market.
