The wife is taking me out to dinner on Saturday night and I plan on having few alcoholic beverage. Driving that far hungover with my current exhaust is just not something I can deal with.

If I lived closer to Los Angeles I'd be there.

Is there anything I need to do to my car to get it ready? I think read something about needing a battery tie down.

JDL EL Header is on and numbers will be up in the next few days. I can feel more torque right now even without the car tuned for the header. I'm sure its beauty is good for at least +50whp :p

The stock tie-down is good as long as it's tight. Just don't want the battery wiggling around.

You guys remember the issue I had with my rear window?

Basically, I had the dealer tint my windows, and they scratched the hell out of the outside of my rear window. (Not sure how; tint is applied on the inside...)

They offered to replace the window, but since it's a lease, I said as long as it goes on record that the scratches were done by the service guys, I am fine with it. Dealer said to let them know if the scratches are hindering my sight, and they will go ahead and replace it anyway.

I asked for a small price break on the TRD exhaust, because I didn't want to make them suffer the cost of replacing the window, and they come back saying that the $1300 installed IS a price break; they usually charge $1600 shipped.

Really.

Do I need to buy a Tesla to get good service?

I am not sure that I am following why you can't buy the exhaust elsewhere have someone help you install it?

I'm sure they would break my lease contract and fine me on top. It's a lease.

@fst86frs should know a bit about this. I am not positive, but I am pretty sure "bolt ons" do not effect a leased vehicle.

If I'm going to spend the money and break the contract, does this setup pass emissions and keep the CEL away?

It's not breaking any contract.

For example, you can put a lift kit on a truck as long as you don't go higher than a 6" suspension lift etc
