Yes, the fuel economy that results from the FRS/BRZ efficient packaging is one of the many reasons why it's the right car for me.

i will be using mine to simply commute to and from school, not putting much mileage at all...
putting in premium fuel sucks, but the brz gets great fuel economy, so it's not that bad...

Just a side note - the GC likes Premium, but apparently you can put in regular unleaded (you lose a few ponies, but it'll still do fine). However, if I'm not mistaken, MPG will suffer.
I do think gas mileage is important (every bit helps when it comes to cashflow), but I suppose that for a sporty coupe, there are no "good" options out there which can do better on the mileage front. For comparison's sake, the S2k gets 18/23ish. |

![]() The guy who posted this up said he still needs a few more tanks of gas for a large enough sample size. But right now it doesn't look statistically significant at all. This is for the 3.8 GC. Not sure if the same holds for the 2.0T. |

Think of it this way, premium is always usually only ~20c more per gallon than regular, no matter how high gas prices go.
$0.20 x 13gal tank = $2.60. You will always pay $2.60 more per tank to fill up. It's not exponential. If you want to save money driving buy hybrid, plugin or electric. Last edited by MrBRZ; 03-08-2012 at 02:14 AM. |

if you drive the car for 100k miles you looking at ~$800 over that time. Around $120 a year for most people or $10 per month. Cut back on 2 coffees and it will pay for the gas. |

Managed to find it for 3.50 a gallon.. $90 to fill up, this car will be a godsend to my measly 11-12mpg vehicle atm.
