Car was 2682 at the NASA time trial with 3/4 tank of gas and the spare still in. So removing that, seats, battery and going down to low fuel should put the car about... 255X. Driver cant lose much, already weight 160. haha

So far I've got hood struts. Luckily, I won't be driving my car while I'm down there so there's no prep work to do. Driving Danny's/Andrew's FR-S.

This is the list of parts that I've acquired:

- KW V3 with Whiteline Com Cs
- Some fancy header (P&L maybe? Made of titanium I think)
- Motiv pipes (front ones of some sort)
- UR Pulley
- 17x9 Enkei RPF1's et45

Planning to buy this spring/summer:

- Exhaust and/or downturn
- Motoeast Tune
- Strano FSB
- maybe an RSB
- Endlinks
- some various bushings
- lightweight battery

And I think that's it. I have the Sparcos from the STi that I could toss in if I get serious at some point. All of that should be enough for a pretty basic STX build.

You might want to avoid those Com C top hats for now.

Car sounds exactly like mine! I am stealing the Kirky seats from my CSP miata that has a engine down right now and being built for time attack till the car is done. Our cars will basically be the same mods.

Apparently I'm out of touch with STX rules as I didnt think any interior could be removed minus the spare tire/jack etc. That is pretty light though, approaching Miata territory.

-Seats can be replaced as long as they are replaced by a seat that weights a min. of 25 lbs.
-Steering wheel can be replaced as long as it retains the airbag(so there isn't much point)
-Shift knob

That's pretty much it besides the trunk tools, floor mats, cup holder, stuff in the glovebox.

Stereo equipment can be replaced (comfort/convenience) and in theory you could replace with lighter components if you wanted to.

Correct, the sterio stuff can be done within reason. But if you've done most everything else and you're going to extremes to lose weight, it's an opportunity to do so.

From what I understand, yes. I know Sam/Andrew had revised ones on their cars without any issues. I also sent pics to Lugod and he confirmed that they're the good ones. I'll be installing them towards the end of March, I'll report back afterwards.

So for all you veterans out there... I need help deciding on wheel size / tire size. Right now it is between 17x9 +35 or 17x8 + 45 both rpf1's. If the 8's then will get 245's but if the 9's get 255's? or a smaller tire on a bigger rim?, like 245' on the 9's?
