The title should be "today is going to be Hoth."

I dont imagine snow in hell.

world oil prices have forced hell to ration its energy supply, no more heat every 3rd week of a month.

The drive today was mostly okay, just slow. I was a bit concerned with driving on the 401 but it was no big deal.

I got stuck on my street though as it wasn't plowed. Started in second gear... shifted to third gear and inched along.

Thank god for Nokian Hakkapeliitta R's. Last winter they felt like such a waste we didn't really get much snow, but this winter they have been totally worth it.

I'm finding it more relaxing to start in 1st (no gas - clutch release only) to get it rolling, and then quickly shift to 2nd.

Last night, even major roads were unplowed. Fun times.

lets just say winter is the only time that speed limit signs make sense :o

although going back i've had some tough spots, maybe 5-8kph, but at least i was moving, never actually bogged down.

but the reality is that if i stuck to the main roads it would have been smooth sailing, just a lot slower, i probably cut 10-12 minutes from my commute by taking side roads.

Garage
After spending an hour digging out my driveway and then trying to help the lady 2 doors down get her V6 mustang into her driveway (never happened) I was way too tired, cold and wet to try to deal with driving.

They didn't get a plow down my street till way late at night and I'm lowered, after pushing that lady for 10 mins and getting nowhere I didn't really feel like getting my car stuck lol

Had to add this to all the cool pics of the ones in the snow. This was yesterday morning, and was the same today as well. No problems starting, just had to wait for the stereo/nav to "return to normal temerature" as it stated once it came on. Thats frost/ice on the display!
