Is everybody using a controller, wish I had a wheel system?
I actually do better with the controller for some reason. In have a G25+wheel stand pro, if you're interested, shoot me an offer.

TBH I don't blame ya. I've played Forza 5 on a friends system (HUGE screen+sound system) and love it, but I didn't think it was worth buying a whole new system. Visually & sound (aurally?) its no comparison, but physics wise, I think they are both comparable. At least GT6 came out on a system I already had.

Again, I haven't played GT6, but I much preferred the Forza 4 physics over GT5. Plus I think the fact GT came out on the old outdated system with direct PS1 contented ported should tell you something about where the stand compared to a 100% new build for the new console with ZERO old carry over from the Forza team. They aren't even moving at the same speed or playing on the same level.

I agree buying a whole system just for Froza was a little silly... but I've got it now so oh well whatever!!!

For anyone interested, the "KAZ" documentary on Kazunori Yamauchi, the creator of the GT series is now out on Hulu for free.

Pretty interesting even though it does kind of go off on tangents it seems from time to time. A really long video and I'm still watching it. But if you are wondering, yes there is a good section at about minute 56 featuring Dai Yoshihara driving a BRZ on his favorite touge roads...

I'm getting pretty frustrated with GT6. I've mentioned this before but from my extensive testing in both GT5 and now GT6 I can feel no distinction between the BRZ and the FR-S. Both understeer in stock form. Not as badly as the new FT-1 concept, but still pretty far off from the real cars in my mind. And if you look at the suspension settings for both cars (and the 86) the settings are all the same. They feel exactly the same to me when I hop out of one into another in the game. So I try to tweak them a little using some real world values hoping that they will adjust the cars to make them feel a little more like their real world behaviors. I'd like a more neutral BRZ, and a little tail happy FR-S. Easy to do with the fully adjustable suspension right? Nope, nothing I do really makes much of a difference, short of changing to stickier tires in front and less grippy tires in back. That to me seems like a hamfisted way to do things so I wanted to avoid it. Starting to feel like the suspension adjustments don't do squat at all, or very very little. The only time I felt any real difference in how the car drove was when I cranked front toe to some really ridiculous high level of toe-out.

Same complaint about the SW20 ('97 MR2 GT-S turbo) but in the opposite way. Car oversteers way too much and it's practically un-driveable on Big Willow. Finally after a lot of suspension tweaks and adding max downforce on the rear, as well as reducing weight and then adding ballast back to move the weight bias from rear to front, I've got the car actually behaving normally (with very neutral handling).

I do all my "testing" using Logitech Driving Force Pro wheel and pedals. So yeah it's not the latest greatest wheel but it is supported by the game. Someone tell me they've got it working better or feeling better on their system. Maybe someone with a G25 or G27 wheel/pedals feels everything is totally different between the two cars, or that you can feel adjustments making a difference. Give me some hope guys! Otherwise this might be the last GT game I buy. I originally bought a PS2 and then PS3 specifically to play GT. Now that the next gen consoles are out and I am not firmly in either camp (I also own a X360) I could go either way.

Tips? Advice? Maybe I should just go play BF4 instead and get all worked up about how unrealistically the "potato" grip reduces my hip fire accuracy in order to improve rapid fire stability or whatever...

agreed. i've only played it 3 times during christmas and haven't since, other than today to get the FT-1. it's barely an improvement over gt5 except for a few new tracks and cars, and new UI, the graphics and driving dynamic is pretty much the same.

I don't know if it's my G27 or not, but I am noticing variations. However, I only really notice setup changes when all aids are off. The TC and skid recovery really mess up the ability to feel changes.

Just my .02

I've noticed this too. Back in GT5, I liked trying out peoples tunes for the seasonal time trials, and would see a night & day difference in the handling characteristics, resulting in a huge improvement on my times. I've been trying to do the same thing with GT6 and could barely feel any difference between tunes, let alone with and without a tune.

I believe its more of an MR issue. Folks have been complaining about terrible oversteer on all MR cars. I've noticed this when doing the NSX time trials. I used to love the NSX back in GT5 because of its pretty good handling just in stock form. The GT6 NSX's were pretty much un-driveable without any tweaking. Same reason I practically threw my controller across the living room trying to get a clean lap with the stratos doing the festival of speed event
