Just put in my order with Amayama. They approved the inquiry and I gave payment. All the parts I wanted were in stock. I only ordered what wasn't available on the BRZ tS. Lavish. I'll post comparison pics of the flat black and painted black after I receive them.

Okay, so somehow both amayama and I went crazy, because somehow I ordered 1 each SU00303190, shifter surround, even though I thought I specifically removed it since I'm getting the STI tS shifter surround. I was charged for this.
Then I received quantity 5 of SU00301927, which is the left center console knee pad cover. Yes, FIVE. I wasn't charged for that at all. I'm getting the tS knee pad covers for the center console, so I didn't request either side. Also I received ZERO clips, SU00302967. I order qty 5 and was charged for them. Otherwise I got my center dash trims, door handles, steering wheel bottom trim and TC switch (automatic, for fun), so that's all good. ![]() As far as I'm concerned the money is already spent, so I'm not going to fight for the shifter surround and some clips. I think I can order the clips through the dealer anyways. I haven't heard from Japanparts about my STI pieces yet. Since I have so many extra knee pad pieces I'm going to paint one for practice, try to get that gloss finish. Oh, and that's the Mach V Jet Black Reverse Lockout. |

If anyone wants any of the left side knee covers for free and you just pay shipping, let me know. Gonna try to give some away locally, but there aren't many FT-86 up here that are into modding, yet, so just thought I'd help out anyone that's thinking about getting these. Shouldn't cost too much to ship like USPS Parcel or something.

Im actually thinking of wrapping the dash panels, kneepad/hvac trims, and shifter surround in silver chrome.....has anyone done this yet? I'd like to see how it turns out.
My worry is that the chrome on the dash panels would not only look gaudy, but unsafe in daytime due to reflection....lol. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Otherwise I have yet to see someone wrap an interior. There's a thread somewhere that I was helping someone find chrome interior bits, most of which came from Grazio. Expensive. I'm all for chrome, but not in the cabin. |

I don't understand why you wouldn't contact them and give them a chance to make it right, reship the needed parts, and allow them to correct their inventory balances. |

I guess you're right, though, if there's some legality behind it (as in technically I'm stealing) then I should contact them as the good and proper thing. I haven't given away any parts yet, so I'll withhold. Thanks. Edit: Emailed them.

Got a few things from my local dealership. Last ones in the warehouse around Mid-Michigan.

Just put in my inquiry for the same list of the "13 parts". Prices maybe went down as mine was ~ $170 before shipping. Should have my final price in a couple days I'm guessing. Now I wonder if there's a way to get the auto climate control knobs and switches in black or some way of disassembling and painting them.
Maybe asking for too much though, haha. =P |
