It's not a matter of STI brand this or that, its the fact that they are brembo brakes plain and simple, in reality they are NOT STI brakes but a branded kit for Subaru so I have no loyaltys to them for anything, the brakes are good, will work on the car is cheaper in the long run and will work with my goals in mind.. hell with this loyalist crap, if a good part fits hell why not use it. as for the respray... my shiznit has to match brotha...I can't be rolling around with mismatch crap, I want it to look clean and functional.

If you want to put Brembos on cool but putting a STI sticker or gold BBS STI wheels on a FR-S won't mesh well.

Wrx brakes should work correct? I heard people suggest that was the reason for the 5x100/hub/ offset so subaru could raid thier parts bins so to speak. Also if something from an sti used oem and is in good shape and functions properly likely being boat loads cheaper than from trd its going on my car and I will make it not clash aesthetically.

No. It has to do with pistons and the physical orientation of the brake caliper. The parts WILL fit. They will not FUNCTION properly.

As a matter of fact, I kept a spare set of STI Brembo calipers for the exact reason that they would fit before realizing that they wouldn't function properly.

I see that does sound vaguely familiar now that you mention it. And while were at it incase people here didn't see the droo-p build thread no ej swaps with stock as1 transmission.
