1150 for 2 other EL headers and 1k for the best uel coated.....
You could get JDL EL header with coating for $1129 right now. They have a nice header design.

No, it is pointless because you're leaving horsepower on the table.

I remember HyTech headers being very expensive also. Quality is expensive

A number of folks were able to get it for $1K or less - including myself, if I had wanted to. You didn't play your cards right Jimmy.

But then why did FT86Speed do one? I'm assuming they did do one without a tune so to test it off those with the tune...

Am I confused but people are paying 1500$ for a header w/o any numbers at all??

I'm not trying to troll, just get the info out on these..

i'm not complaining, i understand fully. its basic capitalism and supply/demand. they can charge w/e they want.

however its obvious they can sell for 1100 and make profit, or else why introduce it at that price, another example is the over/front pipe. cost of a 3" is almost double that off at the 2.5, is there that much more material used for a 3" to make it cost almost double?

is it quality, yes. do i think the price represents what its genuinely worth? no.

not like any of this will in the end stop me from buying their products, i plan to buy the header/rest of the exhaust come spring anyways, i just don't like to know that as a consumer i'm being taken advantage of because they have the only product on the market.

carry on. lets see some dyno's

I would expect numbers to be as good or better than the updated results from post #3, first graph.. They stated that was rev 4 (i think) and they went through several more interations before they found one that performs as well at that one but that was able to fit without modification to anything else.

I think the idea was to sell the first batch with zero profit to those that waited so long. Then after that, price it so it's worth making to the company, so they have an interest in continuing the builds. I know they did that with the first run of axlebacks, and that was only a $50 difference then. And yes, 3" pipe is significantly more expensive than 2.5". How much? I dunno. Maybe a supplier type guy knows.
