More questions for you :/
1/ I have read else where of an option for coating that involves both outside and inside of the pipe. Supposedly keeps the heat in better. What is your opinion on this?
2/ The flexi-joints bug me. They look like exhaust goiter. Do they introduce any impediment to flow? How concerned would you be at producing these pipes without flexi-joints?

Thanks.

If you can afford the coating I would do it. Keeping the heat in helps keep up the velocity of the exhaust pules and will also keep the bay temps down. As for the flex sections on the header, have you seen how much it actually moves? Ive seen them move a significant amount with the car in neutral so I can only imagine how much more it would move with load on the engine.

Here is a break down of how they are laid out. They are the smoothest as possible while still allowing movement. For a street car I dont really recommend running without them. If it was a dedicated race car that gets refreshed after a few hard track days than that may be a different story

Are there benefits to thermal coating besides looks that make it significantly better than thermal wrap?

Sorry, my question was meant to have asked does your coating do the inside as well as the outside?

Do you stock the 3" over pipe / front pipe or is it made to order?

Thanks!

Have you guys experimented with Helmholtz (drone killers) yet? I've heard good things about them in different areas from front pipes to actual catbacks.

That would be something put in a catback if we offer them

I believe thermal wraps can cause corrosion and also add more weight than coatings. Thermal performance could be worse as well depending. I think the only reason to select a wrap over coating would be to try to save money.

We dont warranty wrapped products. If wrapped too tight it will not allow for the metal to expand and contract properly and will cause cracking. Coating will keep the heat in and help with keeping the velocity of the exhaust up and better scavenging. The coating is the standard coating and it does well for its intended purpose.

Mine is coated and still makes noise. It's just the nature of the header having thinner walls and no heat shields. If it does reduce the sound, its very minimal. Mine only makes a lot of noise during cold start up front in the engine. Once it warms up, sounds beautiful.

So dumb question.....

Looks like the headers are in two peices....is that for installation ease? This will bolt up to a stock location front pipe?
