Yes, you only need indicators on the inside...
However, that one that fell off... it shouldn't fall off that easily. If you regularly inspect your pads, you won't need the indicators anyways. |

Ok, since I am probably going to return these. Should I get another set of the same or is there a better pad in the same price range? Car is DD and time attacked almost once a week.

Hawk HP+ pads work fine for me. They stop well when cold, don't seem to fade too much at track days. Not too noisy as long as you bed them in right.
I take the clips off b/c they're easier to get in the caliper that way. Personally, I wouldn't bother sending them back. As long as the pad material and backing plate are fine.... |

I have these. In the cold and wet they are terrible. In the cold? Just fine. Wet? Just fine. Combine the two and it's like banging rocks together to stop.

not on the hp+, but hps pads, my indicators where on the wrong side of the pads. just removed them and havent had any issues. although im starting to think the hps are not well suited for the track.
