Registration for their events is through myautoevents.com. Keep an eye out there for a schedule for this summer's events.

Also, NF Performance, a smaller local shop, has been hosting 'track days' at DCTC. It's usually pretty cheap and they provide pizza, soda, instructors, help with setting your car up, etc. Great group of very knowledgable local guys. Find them on facebook or mnsubaru.com.

I'm planning on a couple of track days at BIR this summer if time allows - I'm sure I'll see some of you up there!

Well I haven't owned the car a month and I have 18x8.5/9.5 gram lights 57xtremes in winning blue coming! I didn't realize how expensive lug nuts, center caps, and valve stems could be. I don't think I'll be able to wait until spring to put them on... may just have to buy some performance all seasons and try to deal with this awful snow and ice.

We don't use salt here in South Dakota like y'all do in Minnesota. Plus I have other vehicles to drive until it gets nicer out.

Anyone else having a great time driving sideways everywhere they go? These temperature fluctuations are kicking my FR-S and I's butt. Had to drive to St. Cloud today and all I can say is back roads are slick.

Honestly with Blizzaks I've been having a blast this winter. The packed snow on the side streets around here gives me decent traction with just enough slip to have some controlled fun at times. The only problem I've had is when I get in deep mushy snow.

With the factory tires I've been stuck a few times.

Get off the factory tires. I had mine on snow, and they sucked quite a lot.

Totally agree good snow tires make all the difference. I keep thinking I should add some weight to the trunk too, but I haven't really needed it.

I decided to go with ultra performance all seasons on my gram lights... I figured I could run them this year, burn up my factory tires at the track this summer before I throw snow tires on them this next winter.

Hopefully the conti extremecontact dws I'll be putting on the gram lights work better than the horrible factory tires.

I second this. Second winter with them. No hope of going anywhere with more than 3 inches of fresh powder. Unless you have lots of friends willing to push you around

This. Although I watched a Touraeg avoid a snowy ramp in to a parking lot, which I promptly banzai'd down. Was mostly powder though. Still fun.

I put my stock BRZ wheels on my Impreza and the tires are absolute garbage even on an AWD.
