Mike, we have a wholesale program for dealers and all I need is your business license and tax ID to get you guys setup.

However, this giveaway is something we do for the general members and a way to give back to the board.

I do appreciate your interest and I definitely look forward to having your company in our dealer network!

You want to charge someone 1K to review a product they rightfully won in a sweepstakes or else....? You'd have to be a sucker to accept those terms.

That "sucker" is getting $1200 worth of product FREE of charge, for taking 30 minutes out of their day to write a review for the good of the entire forum. The review is not for me, the review is for those who would like a non-biased opinion before spending $1200 of their hard earned money on this product.

I would call that an incredibly good deal for the drawing winner, but again, you aren't forced to enter.

Can't say I expected this sort of push back to free product, but there's a first for everything, haha.

That "sucker" is paying you, Speed by Design, $1200 up front for a review.

If the person that won the product is incapacitated or otherwise unable to fulfill the terms of this sweepstakes or contest, that person is out $1200 and liable to pay the debt to you.

How would that be free?

So all the risks of product payment and review is passed on to the end user who won, and you (the sponsor of said promotion) assume zero risk.

I'm all for great contests, but again, I think you need to reexamine the concept of a free giveaway and how this is anything BUT free.

-alex

Edit: From another site sponsor who is doing a great FREE giveaway with ZERO payment obligations: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?p=1501606
