They cut out a section of another bumper with the same contour and epoxied/bondo'd it in place. I don't remember how much the custom work was because it was getting repainted anyway. I believe around $100?

you REMOVE badges. then FILL the holes/groves then SAND to match the body lines then PRIMER then SAND again. then PRIMER again then PAINT to color match. we aren't talking about simply removing the badges, we are talking about doing one off body work here. not just going badge less. shaving means literally that, you take what was there, remove it and fill the left over dead space to make it look like it was NEVER there. i don't know why holes are even brought up. also its just as hard to do this to the gt/frs as it is the brz. |

No it is much harder on the gt/FRS. Check the bumper difference yourself.

how come the silver WRX looks wider than the white WRX? i thought the width of a hatch should be the same as the sedan.

Because it's a Matte color, so it just looks wider.
Sorry, it's still not harder for a competent body shop to do this I a Brz or frs. The Brz has dimples that need to flow as well, so no, it's not harder to shave the frs/toyota Last edited by Jive Turkey; 02-06-2014 at 02:37 PM. |
