So I know there's a broken axle thread going on. Anybody have this problem and found a solution? I enter drift events every month since december on stock suspension but I'm getting some BC Racing coils soon. Thanks for the input.

I've been through it all.

It's a common issue when setup super low and driven hard. Too much low fucks with the axle geometry and puts a lot of added stress on the axel bearing cases. That's what I broke. I was also running 9.5" Kiwamis on the back, so wide wheels probably don't help either.

I installed the DSS 600hp axles. You can read about all the dramas I had from post #15 in my build thread.

Between DSS axles, PBM diff risers AND subframe risers, I feel like I'll never have an axle issue again.

Once it gets on the car, I'll probably end up dropping the car down close to another inch.

Does anyone know how high the diff and subframe is actually raised with both risers installed??? I've emailed the same question to PBM without a response at this stage.

I want to know this info before I consider moving forward. It's not exactly an easy install and realistically, to somewhat straighten out the axles when LOW the diff really needs to come up by around 10-20mm from what it is from factory. Anything less than 10mm and I'm not sure if it's worth all the trouble.

If it is raised enough, then I will install them for sure. Even with DSS 600HP axles installed, I still had issues with them leaking grease from the CV boots due to the bad angle they were running at. I've even had the boots replaced and reclamped from splitting and they're less than six months old. TBH this whole axle thing has been a fucking nightmare. The only thing that fixed the issue was raising the car and nobody go time for that.

Exactly. Thanks for shedding some light on the situation. I hope someone can figure this out so I can install whatever it is all at once.

Are you maxed out on the BR Coils too? I like the ride posture.

Not even close. I have BC BR's but they are the extreme drop spec so they go REALLY low. More than what I ever needed.

17s are just going to naturally let the car sit lower too. Slamming on 17s will give you a lower height than slamming on 18s. That's probably why you're having so many issues.

I'm on 17s now and just BARELY tuck the ver top of the rear tire. I'm going to 18s in the rear and will get it to where the rear is about an inch above the rim. Coupled with the LCAs, risers, and axles, I shouldn't have any issues. I just had really grippy setups and beat the shit out of the car when I drift it. Probably what cause it to fail so fast.

I'll just bump up tire pressure to like 70psi with almost no rear camber haha. Sssssssmoooooooke

To get that 20mm, do you need both sub frame and diff riser kits or will the diff riser kit give you the 20mm by itself?

Idk for sure. The diff risers do raise the diff up within the subframe, but in order to install it, you gotta pull the subframe anyways. I'd just do it all at once since the subframe is already off. $200 USD for both sets.

More than worth it. Now PBM just needs to release their knuckle kit and a rear drop spindle setup
