What would be best for me?

I can't decide between springs or coilovers. I Use my car for DD and will never track it. I live in New York and the winters are bad and salty. I just want to get rid of this wheel gap and have a nice drop that would make me low (not slammed) but don't know what my best route would be. this is what I can get.

BC Coilovers - $995 (or any other coilover under $1200)
or
eibach sportline - $1130
2x Koni Yellow Sport dampers(front)
2x Koni Yellow Sport dampers(rear)
1x Eibach Sportline Lowering Springs
2x SPC Rear Lower Control Arm w/toe kit
1x SPC Front Camber Bolts


No matter what I'm going to have to pay for an install for either one I chose

What would be the best way to go that would save me money.

I also have Rota Grids 17x9 +42 (I haven't picked out tires yet) I'm afraid with this I'll need spacers and addition stuff thats just gonna kill my wallet.

Don't get Sportlines for DD. Along with Sportlines you'll need rear LCA's which are another $200. Just go Pro-Kit. You won't need anything else with that setup.

I went Sportlines for DD and I can definitely feel a difference with ride quality.

Also, if you're not lowering past 1" and not going to track then I'd just go with Springs. Coils are overkill.

Find someone to install Pro-Kit for $400 or less...then you can buy a Pro-Kit for $200 online and call it a day. I posted a link in a thread showing off the Pro-Kit. Looks perfect IMO.

Wheel Spacers from B2 Auto = $210 for set of 4.
Eibach Pro-Kit = $200
Install = $400ish or less.
If you go with Sportlines then add extra cost to purchase rear LCA's plus extra to have them installed. $200++
And go ahead and get new shocks while you're at it because you're not going to like the ride quality Sportlines give you for a daily driver. Not sure how much shocks cost...but I'm assuming $200-$400ish?

I second the advice for lowering springs with a mild drop. If you're not tracking your car and just want to reduce wheel gap, don't worry about Konis or coilovers. Just stick with a nice lowering spring that is no more than an inch.

With a mild drop, then you won't have to worry about adjustable LCAs for the rear. You only need those to correct camber if you go real low. If you get the SPC front camber bolts, then you will need 3mm spacers to clear the front spring perch with your wheel setup and 245/40/17 tires. I got two 3mm spacers off of Amazon for $27.

what spacers should I be looking at (25mm??) and how's the drop on the pro kit in person a lot of pictures look different some look lower than others. I'm mainly just going for looks.

I forgot to add I have a polyurethane front lip and skirts

pro kit around $200
spacers. - ??
than install - hopefully under $300

Since you have a front lip and side skirts, I would definitely make sure you pick a spring that lowers no more than 1". You will be scraping that lip on everything around town if you drop more than that.

I really think the Eibach ProKit or RCE Yellows would be a good fit for you. From there get SPC Camber Bolts, a solid 245/40/17 tire for your 17x9 Rotas, and two 3mm wheel spacers for the front so that your tires will clear the spring perch. Here is a link for the spacers on Amazon:

That's right, the SPC bolts are for the front. You had them listed in your original post, so I was just reiterating that they would be a solid choice for your setup.

Have you settled on a tire choice yet?

If you're sticking with stock wheels then go for the 20mm front/25mm rear. Those will look pretty good with a mild drop.

Again, B2 Auto Design sells the whole package of 4 spacers for about $210. Great quality.

Read through this 2 page thread for more info about Spacer Sizes and pics of how they look installed with stock wheels.

Hows the ride quality going to be with the pro-kit instead of lets say st coils? Im in the same boat as the OP and I was going to go with the ST's because they're only around 800...

I got the rims sitting in my garage just waiting for winter to end. Curious to know hows the pro kit look in person compared to pictures? I feel like in person it looks lower. Just wanting to get rid of this gap without coilovers. Also stock struts are fine right since the drop isnt over an inch
