Manual "on-headlight" projector adjustment.

I know there is the interior knob to play with but is there a manual adjustment that can be done in the engine bay on the headlight to raise them, which would then raise the knob settings 1 to 5.

Huh? you want a manual adjustment of the headlight so you can raise it or lower it? There is an adjustment screw that will adjust it manually, then you can still use the interior know to adjust it more.

If you look at the housing, there is an indication of U or D, U is for UP and D is for Down, turn it in the direction you are trying to adjust it to.

They shouldn't need adjustment unless something is tweaked (i.e. you were in an accident)

Yeah but I'd like the 0 to become like position 2 so if needed I could put them even higher without switching to highbeams

Do what HapaHaole said. If you open the hood and look at the top of the headlights you'll see the markings.

That's what high beams are for...

It's not like high beams are hard to turn on. It's harder to adjust the level on the fly than it is to turn the highbeams off...unless you just like blinding people (as a general rule HID's are set at a certain drop over a certain distance, the highest I'd go is completely level as any higher and you're blinding everyone until they get close)

Quite honestly I think you could adjust the "0" position up a bit without blinding people.
