Pricing delay from Scion (rumors) may just explain that it creeps Scion big time. Its a gamble for both, Subaru and Scion, and I'd say one of them is going to fail on delivering this car. |

That just happened recently as that website worked for me ~ 1hr ago. Still doesn't matter as it is the same link as was being discussed in the linked thread.

I'm planning on keeping the WRX as a winter car. It's not just the snow, the salt is really bad on cars around here so I will put the BRZ away for the winter.

Depends on the shopper. Some people will look at a particular segment: "I want something sporty, small, under 30K." etc. And they could cross the WRX off their list. But some people will walk into a Subaru dealership looking for a "performance car". These buys will test drive both. And the rising torque curve of a turbo is very enticing.

What do you mean by fail on delivering? Both the FR-S and BRZ are in production as we speak. The FR-S is seeing higher demand worldwide under the GT-86 badge, and demo BRZs are roaming the US dealers right now. Both Subaru and Toyota have committed to bringing their FT cars to the US. |

I'm confident that Subaru will hit or come very close to the 25K price tag they announced at NAIAS. And Toyota's Scion brand is specifically a low-cost brand. The FR-S at 23K will be already be the most expensive Scion they sell by 8K. I really don't believe MSRP on the BRZ will hit 30K, even in limited trim. |

I just got an email from my dealer who asked the regional manager about Prices! RM said late march and Mid 20s for Prem and Upper 20s for Limited. The exact email is in the Random Thoughts Thread.
