Nice! The 1/4 mile trapspeed is very solid at 102 mph. Looks like the fastest WRX yet, but not ready to declared it an Evo killer just yet.

Yeah but it gets your within what, 9/10's of the Evo in performance for almost $10K less? Not to mention nicer interior, a useable trunk, a lot more front and rear legroom, and you are not buying a car from a manufacturer who barely has a pulse right now?

Haha yeah all valid points, but what I love about the Evo is the way it drives. For a heavy AWD car, it has surprisingly good steering and feedback. Until I test-drive the new WRX, I can't really say how it drives, but I'm with you, the figures on paper are definitely impressive.

Evo X was introduced back in 2008..
This new generation WRX just came out. It's 2014. Just wait til Subaru releases STi version of this and Mitsu releases the new EVO to really compare them. |

Finally saw one in person at Saturday's Cars & Coffee, in black. Lot of people were crowded around it so taking it all in was difficult. Sadly I wasn't any more impressed by the design in person than I had been on paper.

Not quite. Mitsubishi was broken up into 5 different companies decades ago. They have nothing to do with each other. If Mitsu auto goes under, no from the other Mitsus will notice. Mitsu auto is in serious trouble, largely of their own making.
