Noob autox

Noob coming through...

New question:
Megan racing street coilovers or isis coilovers

Old question:
Sorry but i am new to autox. Im located in Wisconsin. I was wondering if anyone from around the area could help me. I was wondering what the modification restrictions were? I dont plan to do a full build. I guess ii just want to have fun without killing the bank. As of right now here is a list of my mods...

J2 front pipe and catback
Unichip
Drop in filter "zeta"
18in rims but from what ive been reading i need to be 17s
Sportline springs
Shiftech shortshifter
Subframe bushings
The usual tranny mount and rear shifter bushing
Megan front strut bar
Perrin brake brace
Megan diff support

Plz let me know what else i need to get started or what i have to take off.

here is a link to a web site that will help you figure out what class you car belongs in
with your modifications: DIY Classing

The site is a little out of date but it will give you a good start.
good luck and welcome to the insanity!

Welcome to the fun. If you are competitive and want to play to win you can start building the car to the STX ruleset. If you want to just run it as is and decide that is fine too, there is always a class to start in until you decide if you like it or not.

What club in Wisconsin do you plan on racing with?

Not sure yet. My buddy runs with wag. But I didn't see autox in their schedule. Still looking for a club. Help me out? Btw with the mods that I have I'm guessing I fall into stx?

You are currently in Street Modified (SM). Street Modified is a class where Forced Induction can be added to cars that don't have it from the factory and allow boost pressures to be changed from factory settings in cars that do have it from the factory.

The Megan Diff support puts you in Street Modified (SM).

If you remove the Megan Diff support, you'll be in C Street Prepared (CSP) as a result of the Perrin Master Cylinder Brace.

If you remove the Megan Diff support and the Perrin Master Cylinder brace, provided your wheels are <= 9 in wide, you'll be in Street Touring eXtreme (STX).

well your car doesn't qualify for any of the 3 listed above.

STF is for for front wheel drive and STC is primarily for EF civics and couple other odd balls.

STS does not allow for any form of LSD so that rules you out of there since we all have the torsen.

17's would be more ideal due to the weight of the wheel and the gearing.

Our cars are most competitive in STX. Is your trans mount metal or poly?

STX is where the FRS is best classed in. I mean if you want to play with the "big boys" in STU and beat them with our restrictions then to you.

there was this site that had a good breakdown of all the classes, but having a bit a trouble finding it

The FR-S is in STX, it isn't legal for STU as it isn't listed in STU. If a car isn't specifically listed in a Street, Street Touring, or Street Prepared classes, it isn't legal for that class.
