Truth. It is ok for oil temp and coolant temp though.

ODB bluetooth dongle's

any of these should work just pick blutooth wifi usb which ever you want

http://www.ebay.com.au/sch/i.html?_s...rt=nc&LH_BIN=1

The supplied windows software is dodgy , but andriod apps Torque and OBD DASH work fine. for what you want OBD dash will be best, the paid version has multiple screen, free on one screen only.

There was a rearly nice OBD dashboard app name escapes me but it was only in Korean language.

I car't remember the exact supplier I got it from ebay from (been a couple of years) but its still working fine mine look like this one

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Vehicle-M...item5d3ebdd21b

The only drama you might have is the Bluetooth pairing code ask the supplier as they don't tell you or its very hard to find in instructions or lack of instructions

or try 0000 or 1234 or 6789 mine was actually 6789,

As other's have said refresh rate is pretty slow maybe once/twice a second if you monitor several parameters. No good for tuning just for general monitoring and kinda looks cool and I think that what you after

Actually they DO talk. The stock head unit has an OBD port on the back.
That is how the head unit knows the car is in motion so it can disable video playback. However the stock software does not provide any data monitoring capability.

I bought a $10 ELM-327 OBD-II bluetooth "dongle" on ebay and torque seems to work just fine as a realtime display or low rate data logger.

If the OP bought a Droid tablet make sure that the tablet has bluetooth.
Not all tablets do.

Just keep in mind that our ECU doesn't read everything the GT-R's ECU does, and our sensors have much narrower ranges.

That video is a lad from out UK owners club. It's a mini android PC using torque and tapped into the video feed of the OEM Toyota HU. He also has a reversing camera working too so they can be done independently.
