Shipping is crazy for radium products! Cheapest option is 20 dollars for a catch can yikes! I do live really far away from their headquarters.

Is that $20 for just the can? Nothing else - no tubing, no bracket, etc.?

That is for the kit, but is still kinda steep.

That's not too bad. Note that the complete kit contains (as per their website today at 5:33PM EST):

-Radium billet oil catch can with integrated condenser and dipstick
-Radium laser cut powder coated "86" specific mounting bracket
-Anodized aluminum -8AN hose ends and adapter fittings
-Enough 1/2" PCV rubber hose to mate to custom applications
-Barb hose adapter, 1/2" durable black Nylon
-Stainless steel mounting hardware

The rubber hose will be a bitch to pack and make small for shipping which is what is driving the cost of shipping up. $40 for Canadia and $20 for Amurica isn't too bad given what they have to ship.

I've seen Aquapel shipping one friggin tube for $10. Yet, pick a box of 8 and it's the same price! It's all about the packaging.

I did not really think about the hose shipping. It is not a big deal to me. I ordered it anyway.

I'm not surprised at the cost, just passing the info along.

Shipping for the OFT and header combo was a bargain at $31...

I actually wonder if you could simply relocate the eye that the bottom of the strut mounts to by the height increase adding the radium kit.

Very curious about this. Will stare at it tonight.

I just placed an order for the dual catch can kit. I chose the cheapest shipping method, UPS Ground for $18.71 shipped to CA. Not bad. I have the Grimmspeed hood struts as well, I'm hoping I can figure out a way to make them work with the Radium kit

Think of it this way, you're buying a baffled can tin can with some steel wool and mesh, bracket, fittings and hoses directly from the manufacturer for 100% of retail, over $200 each, and then paying shipping on top.

And yet somehow just about every online vendor can turn a profit being a middle man and including shipping on orders over 150-200 on items sold under msrp.

I'm sure its a great product and is roughly the hollow baffled container equivalent to a rolls royce, and hell i spent $150 on prova mirrors and another $20 for window urethane to glue them in. Clearly my angus has been peppered, and is willing for the right overpriced item.

Catch cans though, despite the claims otherwise they aren't exactly this black art of complexity.

Are you NA?

I ordered the PCV unit (battery side). In speaking with Radium about this issue, I found out that their bracket is 1/8" thick. So I ordered a 1/8" stainless spacer to shim the Grimmspeed bracket up the same as the Radium. I hope this works for a temp solution while I wait on ordering the other side later this summer (wife has me on a budget!).

The little tab that bends down into the adjacent hole on the Grimmspeed bracket seems to be long enough that it will still grab and give "shifting" support. Grimmspeed engineers confirmed with me yesterday that raising the bracket 1/8" shouldn't cause issues, although it had not yet been tested.

I'm currently NA but my Vortech SC kit is arriving next month, hence the need for the dual catch cans.

Thanks for the info. Looking at the photos, it looks like the Grimmspeed brackets can't be mounted below the Radium brackets... no choice but to mount them on top. Do let us know how your install goes. It's going to take at least another month before I get mine in since I'll have it shipped by sea from CA to Manila.

Oh wow, didn't see you were so far away.

Absolutely. I'll post images up when I get around to installing mine. Probably be in a couple weeks as I have to pick mine up on the 8th in the US...and I'm lazy so it will probably be a week after that before I install.
