Was just coming in to say the same thing. Maybe if they make an FA25 or something, which would be awesome because I'm still anticipating the 2016 or 2017 Subaru STI will get an FA25DIT.

Maybe it's just me, but it seems a little cheesy to put STi parts on our non-STi BRZ.

I can see that. The way I see it, though, there really isn't a BRZ STI, and even if there was, there isn't one for MY2013/2014. There was no alternative BRZ STI for purchase when any of us purchased our current BRZ. Therefore it's hard to be a poseur for a car that doesn't actually exist. People have been doing it for years on import cars for USDM trims.

The only time I hate is when a 2004+ WRX has a bunch of STI parts on it, because from 2004 onward there has always been an STI model available for purchase. However, there was no 2002-2003 USDM STI, so I love seeing those transformed into STI models.

As far as the BRZ is concerned, I've been modding mine to be a JDM GT-86/STI because I want my car to look like a top tier OEM trim that was never available except in dreams. I'm living the dream! hahaha

It goes the same with FR-S/Toyota/TRD. The Scion didn't come as a Toyota and the Toyota didn't come with a TRD package for USDM. The Monogram Series is the closest we've come to a Toyota GT-86 Limited up to this point, whereas at launch a BRZ Limited was the closest. Until there's a distinct purchasing choice on the lots, I don't think it's tacky or cheesy to make one model of an available car resemble or borrow parts from a non-existing model.

If all they are doing is just using the control system and raising it. Shoooot, I'll just go to the dealership and tell them to re-program it and boom! I'm done hahahaha.

That reprogramming is already confirmed with FRS and BRZ. It will make 220 RWH

I dont see the problem with putting parts, but when people start putting sti/ts/gt86 badge thats when it gets tacky imo

I hope it's that easy. I mean I'd pay some money to do it. It would suck though if they know customers want this to happen and they jack up the price by thousands -___-"

well it is not exactly official confirmed from the manufacturer stand point. But it does from tuners. So with some bolts on, you will be getting 220RWHP easily

So... you're saying bolt ons and a tune?
Uhhhhh... I'm not really sure how to respond to this.

Your already available preferred bolt ons + an already available tuning solution = price.

I'm not even sure how that video he posted is relevant to his original post about the sti reprogramming.
