P-Tuning is trash?

Does anyone except Crawford actually run Crawford's setup?

Probably not. And for that money I'd rather be running Cosworth parts instead. Go big or go home.

No, Ptuning is great quality, just expensive for the purpose of this thread. It is out of the question because the kit itself starts at $5300 which would put my selections roughly in the $7500 range....

I'm all for the bottom mount turbo locations as they place that hot turbo away from the engine but there's just one thing that turns me off most... having to run a scavenging pump! Just another thing added to the list of potential fail points.

As said earlier, there really aren't any compromises here which is a bummer

I still think Ptuning has the best kit but be prepared to run an external oil pump if you're okay with that. AVO, same thing.

Consumer level Cosworth development is gone... out of luck there.

Cosworth in Torrance is gone. Not sure about Illinois.

the AVO pump (I think Ptuning the same) has very little chance of failing because it is mechanical, not electrical. It will turn as long as the motor is turning.

None that I know of... But with their new engine internal setup, they seem to be having a lot more luck and way better results.

Tis a shame Crawford is banned from the largest FRS/BRZ community He would've been the crown of this community but the mods got too greedy, IMO.

You're right! Forgot the AVO was mechanical. But I think Ptuning uses an electrical unit IIRC.

Like I said before, I'd rather be over budget and feel safer about it, than meet budget and have to worry about heat soaking all the time. But yes, out the door it is a considerably more expensive kit. My thinking is, if I'm willing to drop 5k on an FI setup, waiting and saving an extra 2,500 is fine with me.

What results do you speak of?

@ImperiousRex's street car is faster at the same track with half the power.

@Evasive Motorsport's car is 10 seconds faster at the same track with less power.

Can someone confirm this? This is all making me rethink turbo kit selection lol

I don't know imperiousRex's car... but Evasive's car is far from a street car. FARRRRRRRRRR.

Crawford's car is a daily driver with kicking ass potential. Not sure if I'd want to DD Evasive's car.
