So I went home for lunch and was next door at my aunts house. Come outside and someone tied a dog to my porch. It looks fairly clean and had a nice leash and collar, just a little skinny. Its received medical treatment too as on of its legs is amputated. Totally dumbfounded right now. Both the animal rescues are closed until tomorrow or Wednesday so for now I have called animal control to check if its microchipped and get him rabies tested. Gonna find out when I may be able to go pick him up after.

Sucks cuz it has some behavior problems (afraid of men it seems) and I have cats and my dog so I hope one of the rescues can take it once I can get a hold of them.

WTF? I guess at least they tied it to your porch. Good man for getting the little guy taken care off! My house is close to the Oakland animal services and even though they have after-hours drop-off cages, people still just let them out in the parking lot and drive off. I've had to call-in about 3-4 dogs I just see wandering around. As you would guess, most of them are either chihuahua's or pits, fortunately, most of them were friendly.

That's crazy. Reminds me of a dog my Aunt picked up from the pound. It was abused and didn't like men at all. Would basically just follow my Aunt around the house constantly. It's a completely different dog now. Not very afraid anymore, likes to be around people. It's amazing what a little time in a caring home will do for an animal.

Yeah. Im thinking she saw my cats at the door/window and thought I was a good person to leave the little guy with. No other thought on why my house. So it looks like the evaluation is 4 days for medical and behavior to be OKd. Sad thing is the amputation was done in home and not by a vet (vets would do it at the shoulder, this was just above the joint if I remeber right).

I guess a neghbor saw the woman snooping around homes and scared her off. Must have been after she tied up the dog though.

Holly sh*t! A home hack job? No dog deserves such treatment. I could only hope that it was for the better and that it was done to save its life, sheeeesh...

Maaaan, worst night of sleep ever. I had a dream someone stole my car while I was standing there. Woke up at 3 am just saying "Hell no. I always have my keys on me, AND the immobilizer will stop jumpers. Plus in the dream it only had two lug nuts on cause I was putting new ones on."

Wtf brain... I blame grand theft auto YouTube videos I was watching.

Haha that's a scary dream. I think I've had many similar dreams of my car being stolen, hard to remember one exactly. I think I started having them after I parked my car on the street one night and a neighbor told me he'd seen a couple cars get stolen in the few years he'd lived there.
