So you're saying it's easier to remove the elbow - including that circle in red? Also does that bypass piece slide off with the elbow or with the manifold?

If you are circling that back silver screw, yes. There are three of those in the back you need to remove.

The BPV comes off with the elbow. You will see once the bolts are removed and you are about to pull the elbow off. It just sits in place.

Also, I just removed the 4 Throttle body bolts and let it hang, so I didn't have to remove the coolant lines. I don't think much coolant will even come out of there but I hate coolant so I didn't chance it, LOL.

I bought the universal one. I don't know for sure where I'm going to mount it yet but I will post some pics after I install it. I'm waiting for my intercooler to show up so I'll probably wait and install everything at the same time.

OK guys I am going to install a boost guage on wrkgooses car this weekend and couldn't decide on using the port in the back of the manifold or drilling and tapping the map sensor plate. I called innovate earlier to pick the tech supports brain, and they did not recommend using the port on the back but rather drill and tap the map plate. How ever they said they the heads on the screws on the plate will probaily break off. There standard threads and can be sources pretty easily. It shouldn't take to long to do, I'll let you know when I'm done.

Defensive much?

I didn't say you were whining. I was referring to how cheesy it is that the bolts would break off, and that Innovate knows this. That's why I bolded the portion I was referring to. Good luck with the install.

thanks man. we may need the luck. also: stupid internet sarcasms make it hard to tell what it's aimed at sometimes.

with any luck, shouldn't take more than 30 minutes to get the line set up, just trying to figure out where I want to mount the gauge. not going to do a permanent mounting, since i plan on getting an AFR gauge as well.

Can't understand why Innovate advised not to use the boost hole provided for at the rear of the manifold. Sprintex instructed us to use it.
I've connected up for a month now no issues.

If you have a 3 bar map sensor, why not consider using OBD2 with Torque Pro. Mount tablet on your windscreen.
This way you get every reading without having to run line or mount boost gauge.

If you using stock map sensor then you will have to run mechanical gauge. Not sure if you have seen the Rally Sport vent gauge holder. Gauge in the vent takes not more than 15min and looks so OEM.

That's my 1c

i've got a mechanical gauge. i haven't gotten the chance to go to the shop to order both the 3 or 4 bar map sensor, OR my blue tooth obd2 reader.
