15 inch rear wheels for dragstrip use
Hello everyone, I have a FRS with a turbo and long story short I am in serious need of rear tires to help with my traction issues.
Can anyone on here confirm if a 15x7 inch Rota Slipstream et35 will fit only in the rear? If it does I'm going to run a 235-60-15 Drag Radial. Thank You. |

Might have to space it out to clear the rear calipers. See if Rota has a wheel fit template you can try out.
why not just get a set of 16" wheels and run drag slicks in a 16" size (255-50/16 is an option. tire rack has a 225 width and a 275 width drag radial) |

Thanks for chiming in. I'm looking to get 15's because the tire I listed above has a real nice sidewall size, which is something I need a ton of. I would get 16's but then I would have to change tire sizes and get something even larger that probably won't fit. Also I'm lowered on Sportlines, so I can't have anything too wide. Stock springs I could just have the tire poke out of the fenders and be fine, but I'm dropped 1.4~ so I can't make that happen anymore. Some people are telling me it will fit and others are telling me it won't, so I was hoping someone on the forum had a better idea. I'll probably have to contact Rota |

Yeah lol trust me you will need A LOT more than that. Right now I'm on e55 only 12-14psi maybe 340whpish... 1st through 3rd is a total roast fest. It's fun and all, but I want a good set of tires for track use, and maybe occasionally street use too. |

360whp and I was hooking on 255/50-16 MT et streets just fine. 16" s2000 wheels with 1" adapters and I'm on h&r race springs. You won't need any more sidewall than what I'm running and anyone that says different is misinformed

i had 477whp and I did fine with 17x9 rpf1s and 275/40/17 drag radials, I tried the route youre looking for and found out that you can't really get rotas in the right size and offset to work. Ill be running this same tire on the car with my ls2 swap, Mickey thompson ET streets are the way to go in that size.
