Always support it when the opposite sex gets involved with what I love: driving!

But like 7th Gear said, bring it to the autocross! I'll be in my shitbox at PITL this year - still debating whether I want to drive up to Barrie for that series...

My "SHE who must be obeyed" freaked everytime she rode with me cause her HYUNDAI didn't excelerate so quickly and suddenly and corner faster than she goes in a straight line.

The terror shrieking from normal driving almost made me sell her to the gypsies - UNTIL -

I TOOK HER TO THE TRACK ! - ( I went slow - explaining what she had to do ).

THEN - The funniest thing I ever saw - watching her shriek, activate the wipers instead of the paddles etc. for about 4 laps - then she got the hang of it !

She loves the car now !

Except - she will track with me as a passenger but not as a driver -

She gets seasick when I drive (more G's). .

She wishes it was in Raven, but got Whiteout

Otherwise she loves it, except the passenger seat is too low for her to see much. She's 5'-3"

I'm 5'10" and I still can't see much out the front. The hoodline is still too high with this car but that's how things are these days.

Sounds like a perfect rally co-driver setup!

I burns me to say this...but my wife HATES my car! Just can't stand it!
She hates how low it is to get in and out of...she hates how stiff and bumpy the ride is......she hates the fact that every body tells me how awesome my car is.......she thinks the back seats are ridiculous.......she hate how small the trunk space is.......she hates how "fast" I tend to drive (even though I'm not.....really).......she hates how much fun I say I've had driving home in the snow......but most of all...I think I know why she feels this way......because she can't drive a manual transmission so she does'nt "get it"!! lol
Upside.....I'm the only one ever driving it
Downside.....we tend to take her car a lot

have you raised the seat up?

i'm 5'11 and i sit on the lowest setting, i could easily raise the seat so that my hair brushes the roofline

Nah I have to sit at the lowest position so I can have a fist gap between my thigh and the steering wheel bottom. After driving German for many years the hoodline on this car ain't toooo bad. Nothing can touch a late 80's Honda forward visibility tho!

IMO proper driving position means you should not be able to see the hood at all, it should be as much road as possible -> hoodline -> dash, with the steering wheel coming towards you as close as possible without being uncomfortable.
