Had a blue twin pull in behind me on 40 yesterday near RDU. Beautiful car. A quick wave between the two of us and back to battling the early afternoon traffic. I considered giving him a point by, but it was too cold to drop the window and stick my arm out.

Hey everyone, Lew here from Blounts Creek, east of Greenville and near Washington, NC. I'm the "older" fellow who had my wife with me at National Speed. Great time meeting those that showed up. I've seen one other white FRS in Washington - are you on here?? Anyone else close by in Eastern NC give me a shout out if you want to hook up for lunch or a Brewski. Lew

I'll be moving to Winston Salem in late May, and then I plan on getting a BR-Z shortly thereafter. I am currently in Boone.

There are a few BRZ/FRS owners from WS on here. Also, From time to time Autocross events are held at LJVM coliseum .

Flow Subaru (the local dealer) had an odd ordering process when I was searching for a BRZ or FRS to buy. Each salesperson kept a (hand written) list with the names and phone numbers of everyone interested. When word came down from Subaru HQ that Flow could place an order (allocation apparently was super limited) each salesperson would call everyone on their list at once, the first person to physically arrive at the dealership with the $500 deposit was allowed to order the car how they wanted it.

That is a really odd process...did you end up buying from them?

I am planning on buying from Folgers Subaru in Charlotte, as my roommate bought his WRX there and had a great experience with them. I test drove a BRZ there as well.

I'm glad there are you and others in WS, I'll have to ask everyone's opinions on local shops and what not.

No, I did give them my info though. I ended up buying an FRS from Hendrick Toyota/Scion of Concord. When I got the call from Flow that the race was on, I had already decided on an FRS instead of BRZ, but was quite tempted to see if I could make it there first anyway.
