Nothing official yet. Probably just the typical things: meet, photos, drive, eat.

However, I do agree we should try to make it more eventful. Not too pre-planned, because that just creates stress if little things aren't falling into place.

Since all the yankee folk will be staying at the Hard Rock, we might could do all the car stuff during the day and let it transition into just a night on the town type thing afterwards. I'll have work the next morning, but we have plenty of time to request that Monday off. Which I will, of course.

Mostly warm. You might get a few days of cold, but at that point they're no longer miserably cold. Sometimes it gets pretty windy. And 'April showers bring May flowers,' so... moderate chance of rain.

I'm going to try to find a secluded parking lot. That would be the holy grail of finds in regards to car meets, because the only official one we've had in Biloxi ended up being a pretty wet day. Terrible news for the driving route I like to take, but would be great news if we had a parking lot to play in. I'm not into tearing up my tires, but if it's wet... I don't mind sliding around a bit. My car kind of messes it up for everyone though because it's not stealthy in the least bit. So if I can find a remote lot, the sadness and disappointment of rainy days would be forever eliminated.

@Anthony has a spirited, twisty country drive that he took us on last time that's enjoyable. Other than that, lots of photos taken and go pro footage of the drive.

If the title's date of 13 April still is in play, there is AutoX event at NOLA Motorsports park. The following wkend is the Track Day that was previously mentioned. NOLA is nice and is about 1 or so from Biloxi. The Gulf Coast Region will be in Pensacola which is about a 2 hr drive from Biloxi but if it is a Tire Rack Street Survival event it will be a Sat/Sun event but you MUST work on Saturday in order to participate on Sunday due to the venue and limited amt of cars allowed. I'm sure if we can get enough out there we could do some sort of Toys for Tots cruise or a fundraiser type of cruise and get other car clubs involved. We do have some time to work it. Thoughts??

The Tire Rack event is out of the question for me, since I'll be busy on Saturday meeting up with the yankees (and Steve lol) at the end of their long drive. They'll be taking the scenic route all the way down, so I'm sure their arrival time will be pretty unpredictable until within the last 4 or 5 hours.

As for the NOLA event, that sounds AWESOME. The only downers would be that:

- it would be a further drive for the AL/FL kids, which could be a deal breaker for some of them.

- I'm assuming the autocross event would last all day, so we wouldn't have much time for other things during the daylight hours.

- the out of towners might be a little discouraged from participating on account of their being 1,000 miles from home in the car that needs to get them back. I don't think autocross is that hard on cars, but it still might be enough for them to not want to actually participate in the event if we hold the meet there.

But...

- it would be an autocross event!

- we'd obviously be closer to all the LA kids, so more of them would likely show up.

- NOLA pretty much has an unlimited amount of space on the paddock between the north track and nonexistant south track. Absolutely perfect for a meet.

- it woud be a really good atmosphere since we'd be surrounded by motorsportsness.

- forget the Hard Rock, NEW ORLEANS, son!


But as much as I'm interested in autocross, I'd be just as content with keeping it in Biloxi. So ya'll just start voicing your opinions about which of those two locations you'd prefer.

If we end up going to auotx I will just watch. Anthony said it right, gotta drive back. Plus my car will be freshly boosted. Don't want to test her limits at a track 1000+ mioles from home. That said I am a hell of a spectator.
