Long Answer: If the LED strips come on any time the car is turned on and they are the only ones that do that then they're considered the daytime running lights (DRL). These are considered a safety feature, and technically it is illegal to remove a safety feature. However, I doubt you'd get any trouble from anyone unless you got pulled over by an incredibly anal officer. The DRL on my car "stopped working" after I did my retrofit and I haven't had any trouble with it even during state inspections.

Short answer: You should be fine.

I talked to my local Subaru dealer yesterday. They told me pricing for the premium is going to be $27k-28K and pricing for the limited is $28k-29k. Don't know how accurate or official it is, but there you go.

Sounds like your dealership is marking it up.

The discussion on price really should just stop.. There is no point speculating on it anymore as no one has any clue. Until Subaru officially announces to the world what the price is. I really don't think anyone cares what the janitor at Subaru of America heard while he was taking out the trash.

not ranting.. its just silly that everyone continues to say what they heard from someone.

Interesting. I find the fog lights ugly and love the LED strip. Why do you like the fogs so much?

Enough already. We'll know when we know. Either way, my car is ordered. I'm already sold.

I just like the look with it like the Japanese cars I've been following. It's just that authenticity that attracts me but I'm flexible and cool with anything really.

ya i'd like to remove them too if it won't leave any holes.

it looks like the LEDs are just day time running lights according to this video. i'm guessing there are no switches to turn them off, and they probably turn off when you turn on the headlights.
