...... to FR-S ownership and to ..... The Forum...!!

Snow ..... yep, be careful with summer tires (if that's what came on it).

Lots of good info on this channel, plus lots of modding ideas.

Thanks ! And yea it was hell took me about 30 minutes to get home from the supermarket which is only like 3 miles away. I have some ideas so far. Most likely getting greddy evo 3 catback and nameless op/dp. Not sure what else I want to do yet though

Hello everyone. I've been using this forum for a while now (very helpful with finding information) but just recently decided to jump in and introduce myself.

My names Eric and I will basically be representing PTUNING. I've been working there a little over half a year now and have previous automotive experience and education. But to the main reason why I will be on here on a daily basis..to help anyone that has questions regarding to PTUNING including services, scheduling, product information, parts, sells, ect.. I also have a FR-S fairly stock so any new owner questions are more then welcome

Besides all of that Im also here to socialize and to get the PTUNING name out there. Like I said before Ill be on here on a daily and also try to make it to the local meets and/or track events as much as possible and maybe some not so local ones.

Ahhhh. Yes I love it ! Such a big difference. Can't wait to get a couple mods on their way. Although I'm a little hesitant since I'm leasing and the whole warranty thing.

So, you are coming out of a MX5. I did the same thing (from an 06 NC). How come you went for a coupe?

I'm sure you will find your FR-S a fun driving machine also ...
I was looking for something more family-oriented and practical, so the FRS/86/BRZ was the natural choice in its price range.

I still love MX-5 and would even keep it if I could afford it, but the thing is that now my wife and I have a baby, so there is no way we can all fit safely in MX-5.

I'd be so nervous lowering it ! Streets in NY suck ! And I feel like I'd scrape a lot on ramps. Probably going with greddy evo 3 cat back. Do you know how it effects warranty ?

I use to live in PA and visited NY a few times so I know what you mean. As far as warranty Ive been told and read a couple things. I was told a little late but one thing that was recommended to me was just to call the dealership you got your car from and plan out just ask "If I do ______, will it void my warranty? Ive also heard that Scion is a bit more lenient to modifications (lucky us) another is they warranty the car in sections, example you get the exhaust and for some reason your trans goes (knock on wood) seeing that the exhaust has no direct effect on your trans then yeah theyll still warranty it..but in all honesty its really up to the dealership

and I just want to say I dont or ever worked for a dealership so Im no expert on warranties these are just things Ive been told or read. One thing I do know about is the Ptunign cat back exhaust just wanted to throw that out there seeing your looking into exhaust systems

Haha. Yea man I've heard/read just about the same. I'm leaning more towards doing it. And not taking it in for the free maintenance I feel like I shouldn't trust them anyway and don't want to wait 5 hours for a stupid oil change

Yeah I took my car in once for the "cricket" sound and a side mirror issue I had and they ended up scratching the interior up and when I brought it up they said to schedule an appointment to replace the scratched part, called them they said they ordered the part and they'll get back to me....yeah never happened

Of course. I couldn't stand dealing with nissan mechanics (waited 4 hours for an oil change) doubt I'll be any happier with scion. Rather pay the 30$ for an oil change or attempt it myself.

I say go for it man, the more you get to know the ins and outs of your car the better, but have someone around who knows the ropes just incase you have any questions or run into any problems
