I never drove the BRZ in the winter, but all my other cars that I ever owned suffer mpg a lot. My 97 Impreza can go 400 miles before filling it up during the summer, but winter i would be lucky to even get close to 300 miles.

Also, I dont have any facts to back me up on this case, but from my personal experience the winter tires will give you less mpg than an all-season tire due to the rubber compound that is used to add extra grip for snow. Once springtime hits, you can surely net around 340 before the light comes on(man I miss my car).

I live in north ga, I have a tuned frs, with intake, headers, exhaust, and custom ECU tune, 200+whp. Manual transmission, 12k miles. Hilly terrain (foot hills of the smoky mountains) but a lot of highway driving. I have quite the lead foot and I'm getting about 270-300 miles out of a tank of 93 octane and averaging 27-30mpg. Currently it's 16 degrees outside and tomorrow will be 32 mid day. I am running summer (stock tires and wheels) tires, as it rarely snows here.

Sorry for all the info, just covering all the stats

80-90 city / 20-10 hwy average for me is 25/26.. Only mods is lowered on Eibach sportlines and wider rims (8.25") on stock tires. Best I've had is 29MPG mainly highway but car was almost new it was like the 2nd tank. Had the car about 10 months now and 4200 miles.

Yeah its pretty bad over here in PA. It has been in the 30s dropping to the teens and now we are in single digits with a horrible windchill

I drive all city, although few stop lights since i take back roads mostly.
I get around 25 mpg, pretty much no matter how I drive. On a road trip a few months back I got close to 30 as it was all freeway.
Car is at 6k miles, only mods are exhaust and air tube/filter.

I avg 29 - 30mpg with a mix of city and hwy.. Mostly city..
I romp on it when I can. But most of the time I drive fairly normal..
All stock with 6k miles.
You might be running rich from your tune.. How do your exhaust tips look?
Do you know what AFR you are getting..?

Get 12s high 11s at WOT. The tips look fine with no excess carbon build up. I will have to see what afrs are at cruise. What is a proper range that i should be looking for? (WOT and cruise)

Next time you fill up flash it back to stock for a tank or two. I don't think it's the tune... Wind can also play a factor in all of this. Lol, so many variables. Maybe you do more city driving then you realize? I don't get 300 miles from a tank. I drive 80% city and normally get 22-23 mpg. I try to fill up before my light comes on.
